DOMINICK'S POV ~

I stared at the young girl sobbing before me, her tears soaking the pillow she held tightly to her chest as her shoulders kept trembling. I rolled my eyes and sighed in exhaustion before opening the window in her room to stare at the rising moon, a chill running through my body.

"I swear I did nothing to Alessia. I swear on my dead mother's grave. I just... I just..." she paused before hiccuping, and I sighed again.

"Leila, that's enough," I heaved out, turning to face her, shutting the curtains, and pinning my gaze on her.

"But Principal Dominick, you don't believe me. No one does. Everyone has been giving me the cold silent treatment when I've done nothing wrong. Why does everyone hate me?" she asked, her red-rimmed eyes pouring out her sorrow and exhaustion, but I wasn't the kind of man to console.

"I believe you. You did nothing to Alessia, stop crying." My tone was hard, but I knew it was necessary.
