I had been sitting in the car in my driveway for the last twenty minutes. I was nervous about going on. I know this is the right thigh to do, but that doesn’t make it any easier. I recheck my phone to see if Becca has been in touch, still nothing. I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. I hope she hasn’t given up on me completely. I think that will hurt even more than what I need to go and do now.

I took a few deep breaths and got out of the car, and headed inside. The moment I stepped in the front door.

“Jake, where the fuck have you been?” Lauren snapped.

“We need to talk, Lauren,” I said.

“Can it not wait? We have a lot to do,” She said.

“No, we need to talk right now. It is important,” I said, “Can you please sit down?” I added.
