NIGGAS AIN'T SHIT.

last update Last Updated: 2022-04-30 02:41:58

AMARACHI'S POV.

Whoever wrote that article in the school's student journal must be very stupid.

He/She probably has a personal issue with Christabel.

Nothing in that article is right. Christabel never begged Jeff to have sex with her. This crazy!

Who would have done this? I don’t think Jeff did this but apart from Ade, Michelle and me, no one else knows that Christabel likes Jeff.

Taking one more look at the article, I hissed and annoyingly left the page. The comments were very nasty.

I wonder what might be going on in her mind right now. I tried contacting her phone is switched off. It has been switched off since yesterday night.

I need to see her. I tapped on the W******p app to check if she was at least online. I just need to be sure that she is okay.

I checked the status updates and one particular status caught my attention.

He didn’t send any text since morning. Which is really weird, considering the fact that he has been sending me texts every day, ever since the “almost kiss” situation.

I tapped on his status and I immediately regretted doing that.

A picture of Ade and Sarah. It was not the picture that made my eyes sting with punished tears, it was the caption.

"The absolute love of my life.💗"

Really? When did he try to kiss me then? Why did he pay me any attention?

Niggas ain’t shit! Tch.

I need someone to rant to. I need to see Christabel.

I walked over to my mum's room.

“Good Afternoon Mum.”

“How are you?”

“I’m fine mum. Mummy, I want to ask for your permission.”

“Permission for what ehn?” She scowled at me.

“It's just- ehn- You know-” I stammered.

“And when did you start stammering?” She asked.

“Ehn. You know that test week is next week. I haven’t been attending school so I want to go to my friend’s house and catch up on the lessons that I have missed.”

“The lessons you have here, nko? Is it not enough? Okay, what gender is this friend of yours?”

“It’s a female friend.”

“Amarachi! If I catch you doing anything that I do not approve of, you know what I can do nau. Don’t try me o. You can go.”

“Thank you, mummy.” I grinned. I wasn’t expecting her to accept so easily.

“I want you back in the house before 8 pm.”

“Yes, mum,” I mumbled.

I boarded a taxi to Christabel’s house. When I got there the gateman refused to let me in

“Adamu! When is she standing outside?!”

I looked back to see Christabel's frowning face.

“Bel! I have been trying to call you since yesterday. Are you okay? Where did you go to?”

Christabel just rolled her eyes and walked right inside, completely ignoring my questions.

I walked into her room and found her staring at the wall.

“Did you see those comments?” She asked me in a very shaky voice.

“Those comments don't mean anything babe. You are not a slut or a tramp. You are a wonderful person. All those people, the poster, the commenters, they do not know anything about you and if I am being honest, they do not deserve to know you. You are an amazing person, babe.

“It is very easy to say those nice things to me because I am your friend and you do not want me to feel bad. You and I know that they are right. Maybe I am a slut. I am pushing my best friend away just because he doesn't love me the way I want him to.”

“Chris stop it! You are not a slut.”

I knew it would come to this, she saw the post and the comments under the post. It had messed up her mind and way of thinking.

“Who would have done that? Who would have written those demeaning things about me? The only person I am not on good terms with is Sarah, but she doesn't know anything about Jeff and me.”

I scoffed. “You can't be so sure. Sarah is Ade's girlfriend. He must have told her. I do not trust that girl. She was very mean to be on the first she met me.”

“I think you are mistaken. Yes, Ade dated Sarah. They were so in love but they broke up and although I do not know the reason for their breakup. I was very shocked because they were the school's power couple. They stopped talking and now they are suddenly best friends and they might be dating but I do not think Ade told her anything.”

“So who do you think it is?”

“It might be Jeff. The way he spoke to me yesterday was really annoying. He sounded so angry about something. I wonder why he was angry. I am the rejected one.”

“Jeff is your best friend! I don't think he can do something like that.”

“You can't really trust all these niggas. Niggas ain't shit.”

“Yeah. I agree.”

“Enough talk about all these niggas. How do you feel now?”

She sniffed once. “I feel like-" she sniffed again. “I don't know how I feel, I just-” Her shoulders slumped and she started sobbing like a baby. I gathered her in my arms and rubbed her back.

“I am here for you, Chris. You can always talk to me and if you want to cry, you can always cry on my shoulders. I know we just met but I love you and I do not like seeing you in situations like this. You would get through this soon. I've got you, babe.”

We would get through this together. I do not care if it is Sarah, Jeff or even Ade. I promise to find out who did this.

And I need to figure out how to take down that stupid post.

“Thank you, Amara. I love you so much. This means a lot to me.”

“You'd be dead without me,” I said playfully and she laughed.

  • Our story   LOOK ME IN THE EYES.

AMARACHI'S POV.Maybe I overreacted. Maybe I am really trying to take her best friend away from her. Maybe I should just suck it up and stop ignoring Ade. it is not his fault that he does not like me.Those were the thoughts replaying in my mind. After the confrontation in Michelle's house, I did not even wait for the others. I walked to the bus stop in anger. I was really angry and disappointed. I thought we were friends and she was there ignoring me just because of a silly thing. Why would she think that way? Have I done anything to give her the impression that I am trying to "steal" her best friend? I have also been ignoring Chris since the episode that happened at Michelle's house. I did not want to do that but it feels as though I am the reason for the fight between her and Mich. it just feels so weird. I didn't want her friendship with Mich to shatter just because of me. Mich did not even try and reach out to me. What was I even expecting her to do? Maybe apologise to me? Wel

  • Our story   THE CONFRONTATION.

CHRISTABEL'S POV.Michelle ignored my existence throughout the day. She acted like she did not see me, even when I sat beside her during history class. She did not say a word to me and I need an explanation. This is the very first time something like this would happen. Michelle is more than a best friend to me. We have been there for each other during hard times. It was really hard to ignore the side talks and hateful glare that my classmates threw my way. The school was looking very dry because almost all the students had started going home. I sat on the bench outside our class, waiting for Amarachi and Michelle. I had texted Ade and Jeff to meet me here, a few minutes ago. I could not talk to Michelle because she was giving me attitudes so I pleaded with Amarachi to cajole her into coming here. “Hey, bel. What's up? Where are the others?" Jeff asked. Jeff and Ade, are here already. “I do not know what is taking them so long but they should be here very soon.”I just hope Amarac

SARAH'S POV.I remembered how angry Christabel looked today at the cafeteria and I couldn't stop the mischievous smile that crept up to my lips. The fact that only Michelle ran after her, made me smile even more.I am just getting started and she's already very mad. The other guy which I didn't know until today, was really creepy. He kept mute the entire time. I was surprised to find out he is Jeff's twin brother. They are unidentical not only in physique but also in their characters.Jeff is the lively and popular one while George is really weird and he never speaks. I have never seen him with anyone except his brother, Ade, Michelle and Christabel. When I returned from school, I spent a lot of time texting Ade. Well, he said we needed to catch up. He didn't mention the dinner and it made me wonder if he was going to come with his parents. Mum said he was going to come so I didn't mention it to him either.“Baby, you should start getting ready.
