Chapter 42

Alexis's POV

I spend the first two days in bed, in and out of sleep. I miss Mason every morning because he leaves for work while I’m asleep, I always feel his goodbye kiss though. We only managed to eat dinner together once which by the way I started yawning half way through. Which then Mason tucked me in bed and went into his home office to work.

His has been pretty occupied by work, I haven’t had the chance to ask him what’s going on with that but I feel the jet lagged leaving my body already so I’m going to be more present.

I turn in bed checking the time on the bedside clock. It’s 5:20 pm, I’ve literally slept all day but thank God I feel refreshed. I look for my phone which I feel under the covers, I have 32 missed calls.

What the hell?

Half are from my mother, some from Angie my best friend, few from Jess and Nick, Mason’s friends well now my friends too. Few messages, everyone wondering where I am and how am doing.
