My relationship with my mother has always been a normal conventional one or atleast I think so. We fight and make up, we don’t agree on everything and sometimes we agree on everything, she has expectations of me as her daughter and I also have expectations of her as my mother.

So I wasn’t particularly surprised when I received an angry voicemail from her, when she found out about Mason and I.

Mind you, no one still knows he even asked me to marry him. All she knows or heard is we’re in a relationship and I’m living with him.
