Chapter 9

Mason's POV

My mom calls me inviting Alexis and I to our house in Connecticut this weekend. At first I say no but she tells me she had already called Alexis and she had agreed to go, so I agree to go not wanting to be away from Alexis even if it's just for one weekend.

During the drive over to my parents house in Connecticut, both Alexis and I sleep in the back seat till we get there and the driver wakes us up.

She has had a busy week at the lab and my week has been pretty exhausting too. Handling the company when my father still tries to micro manage everything I do even though he is retired is nothing but exhausting.

Both our parents greet us by the door, Alexis's parents were also there. They had come all the way from California just to surprise her.

Alexis looks surprised and happy as she hugged her parents excitedly and chatted for a bit before I take her upstairs to where our rooms are, her room is right next to mine.

After we settled in, we both take a shower and go downstairs
