Alexandra POV

“Yes, are you bad at hearing, too?” Faye snapped.

I shook my head and struggled to organise my thoughts.

“I-I didn’t know the Supreme Alpha was your father,” I said.

She rolled her eyes painfully. “My family life is none of your business; besides, it only makes sense that the most powerful wolf in the shifter region is my father.”

It was a wicked twist of fate.

Faye flipped her blonde hair and strolled to her father’s side.

“Is she getting kicked out of the region or what?” She demanded.

“Faye,” Enzo growled.

“What? Everyone wants to know. Humans don’t belong in the shifter region. It’s in the name. She’ll settle in well with the humans. Or we could do what our pack’s always done and kill her where she stands. That way our secrets remain safe.”

Blood drained from my face.

“No one’s doing that, Faye,” Enzo snapped. “She has until the next full moon to shift.”

“Daddy, that’s a waste of time. Everyone knows Alexandra is just a wolfless. She reached expiration a long time ago. Besides that, the Onyx pack has always destroyed her kind.”

“That’s in the past,” Enzo said calmly.

Faye frowned. “In the past? Weren’t you the one prepared to kill an army of humans because they got too close to our borders?”

My lips parted, and I gasped.

Enzo’s gaze darted to me for a second.

“Enough. I’m going back to the pack house. I expect you home for dinner. It’s important.”

“Clearly, not as important as my social life.”

While the conversation between them shifted, I saw my opportunity to escape.

Something almost happened there between Alpha Enzo and me. It can’t happen again. I had to avoid Faye’s father at all costs.

***

“I had no idea Faye’s father was the Supreme Alpha! People just said her father was a very highly ranked man in the Onyx pack,” I told Emmie.

“Doesn’t get higher than the Supreme Alpha!” Emmie laughed.

We were in her new store. The walls were white and bare. The only thing she had was her counter. Emmie was the daughter of the Golden Paw pack’s betas. Her parents were second in command to the Alpha. She was their only daughter.

They were extremely important people and very powerful. Which was why it was a shock when their daughter turned out to be an omega. There was a very low population of omegas in the shifter region.

Which was why Emmie and I got along so well. I was the only other person who knew what it felt like to be rejected. At least she had a wolf, so she wasn’t a total outcast.

“I’m not surprised, though. Faye’s extremely strong and arrogant,” Emmie said.

She definitely got the arrogance from her father.

“I would have thought that would be something she’d brag about.”

Emmie chewed her bottom lip and stared out the massive open window.

“Okay, you didn’t hear this from me.”

I frowned. “You’re my only friend. Anyone would suspect you first.”

She snickered. “True.”

Emmie closed the window and locked it as if that would prevent a wolf from eavesdropping.

“My mother had friends over, and they happened to be talking about the mating ball that’s coming up. They were all talking about who they wanted their sons to be paired up with. No surprise, no one wanted me to be mated to their son,” she rolled her eyes on the last part.

 I pouted. “Emmie—”

She waved her hand because she didn’t want my sympathy.

“Anyway, one woman wanted their son to be mated to Faye! But apparently, Faye doesn’t know who her mother is. No one does. That could be why she doesn’t talk about her family much. She’d have to answer questions about who the Supreme Alpha screwed. My mother’s rumour mill claims the Supreme Alpha doesn’t date either.”

“So do you think Faye’s mother was his first love who broke his heart and he’ll never love again?”

“If that were true, Faye would have known who her mother was. Why are you so interested anyway?” Emmie narrowed her eyes at me.

“M-Me? No reason. I was just curious. Never mind. What are you going to sell in here anyway?”

A naughty grin spread on her face. “Sex toys.”

I choked on my saliva. “Are you insane?”

“What’s wrong? It’s a bombing business.”

“Your mother’s going to kill you!” I laughed.

“She’s already disappointed in me. I want you to be my first customer! You need a little… self-love after you break up.”

I sighed. “Self-love won’t hurt. I’ve got to go, Emmie. I’ve got to figure out what to do with the ultimatum I was given.”

“We’ll figure something out, Alex. I could ask around for some help.”

I appreciated Emmie’s help, but the situation felt hopeless. There weren’t many tips or tricks to awaken a wolf. It was supposed to happen naturally. Unfortunately, there was an expiration date for when things like that were supposed to happen.

I’d walked a few blocks from Emmie’s store when I felt a weird warm feeling in my stomach. I shook it off and continued walking. The warmth turned to a boil in my gut.

“Crap,” I muttered.

I was fifteen minutes away from home. I picked up the pace, but the foreign feeling didn’t fade. The feeling travelled lower to my groin. The tender spot between my legs throbbed.

My heart hammered against my chest, and my nipples hardened. My skin felt tight, and my breathing had become laboured.

I paused and panted. “What’s wrong with me?”

A low growl came from behind me. A tall, brooding man flashed his wolf at me. He pinned me to the spot with his intimidating stare.

What’s wrong with him?

Another growl grabbed my attention. A shifter stood in front of a store across the road. His wolf flashed in his eyes, too. It wasn’t even a full moon. Why were they acting this way? Not long after, more male wolves came out of the shadows. There were over a dozen of them.

“You smell so good,” a male hissed.

He licked his lips and advanced, prompting the others to move too.

I backed up. “Stay away from me!”

They didn’t stop. Their eyes and mouths dripped with lust.

I turned around and pushed my legs as fast as I could run. The wolves ran after me.

My studio couldn’t protect me from them. I needed somewhere safe.

Alexandra POV“Enzo? Why did you follow me?”“Open the damn door so we can talk, Alexandra.”“I don’t need to open the door,” I mumbled.“Would you rather I break it down? I can and pay for the damages later.”I groaned in frustration. I yanked the door open. “I’m so sick of Alpha males!”“What happened to your lip?” He marched into my apartment.I closed the door and locked it.“Nothing happened,” I mumbled.“Xavier happened, didn’t he?”He took my face in his hands before I could respond. “Bastard,” he spat.“I’m sorry, Alex. Let me heal it.”I blinked a few times. “You have healing powers?”Mischief lit up his eyes. “No, but I can heal you. Want to know how?”“I don’t know…”My nipples hardened under my robe. I had a feeling it involved touching, as was the case with wolves. I’d already tasted him, and it was incredible, but he’d also already rejected me. However, the prospect of tasting him again made the possibility of rejection worth it.Ugh, Enzo had broken me. He was turning m

Alexandra POV“Just come home, Alex, please. He’s tearing up the place looking for you. I’ve been worried sick, too.”“I’m coming home.”I hung up and tucked the phone in my bag.“I have to go,” I whispered, avoiding his eyes.He stepped in front of me and stopped me from going any further.“Xavier? The jack ass who made you cry?” He demanded.“It doesn’t matter. He wasn’t always a jack ass to me.”Enzo ran a hand down his face. “What are you talking about?”“I was fated to him, alright. We broke up, though. I don’t know what he wants from me.”“You’ve been fated before?” He raised his brows.“Yes,” I replied, recalling the pain of that rejection.“And you broke up? You mean he rejected you. That little prick,” he spat.“Look, it doesn’t matter. I have to go. I can’t stay here.”“So you’re going to run back into his arms? Fated mates are a big deal, Alex. Xavier never announced to the other packs that he’d found his fated mate and intended Luna.”“People knew about us, though. I’d nev

Alexandra POV“Please be okay,” I pleaded as I ran towards him.How did that tree just fall without a storm or a breath of wind?“Get back!” Enzo growled.“There’s a tree on you!”The veins in his neck bulged against his skin as he struggled to push the thick tree trunk off him. The end of the tree stopped short of the front porch. That’s how long the tree was. “Don’t be so stubborn, let me help you…” I paused. “I’ll go for help.”“No, no!” Enzo barked. “Just get back.”What’s he thinking?!I was in full panic mode. My skin was tight and tense, my forehead pounded from the stress of seeing him pinned to the ground. I stepped back and stepped right on a raised object in the dirt.I hissed, but didn’t scream.Enzo panted heavily. “Alex, I need you to move. Get back to the porch.”I swallowed hard. “You can’t stay like this.”“I need you to trust me.” His voice was soft, but the pain was still evident.I nodded and did as I was told. There was no way my feeble human self could even atte

  • Owned By My Bully's Alpha   The Supreme Alpha's Bed

Alexandra POV“My bed,” Enzo replied.“Huh?”He turned and marched down the short hall. I followed him. His room was the size of my studio, excluding the shower and walk-in closet.“This room could be two rooms. You don’t need all this space,” I stated.“Of course I do.”The room had a massive king-size bed that could easily fit four people. A huge, big screen TV like the one in the living room. It smelled like him. Clean, warm and masculine.“You take the bed, and I’ll take the couch. Simple.”“Wait, you don’t have to do that. You don’t even have to keep me here. I’ll sleep on the couch.”He shook his head. “It’ll allow me to watch the front door.”“I thought you said no one would dare attack the Supreme Alpha?” I mumbled.“They wouldn’t. I just want to be careful. The shower and bathtub are through that door.”I looked into his green eyes. How was I sure my heat wouldn’t lure him to the bed while I slept? Had I made a deal with the devil?“Anything else?” He asked.“N-No. Thank you.

  • Owned By My Bully's Alpha   A dangerous deal

Alexandra POVThe door just came off! I thought that the steel door would hold long enough for me to get the second steel door open, but it was permanently glued to the wall.My name echoed in the stale, cold walls.I hide behind the only raised tomb in this chamber. I curled into a ball and struggled to quiet my breathing.“Alexandra, I know you’re down here.”I paused. “Alpha Enzo?” I whispered.“Come out. They’re all gone.”I remained in my hiding spot. He might want to kill me just like the other shifters who chased me.I heard footsteps, and my entire body froze over. I shut my eyes. The last thing I expected to happen was to be chased by a group of male shifters. I only managed to outrun them because beta guards got between us for a few minutes before they started chasing me again.I didn’t want to die like this. I didn’t want to live like this either. Maybe leaving the shifter region was my only choice.A heavy sigh made me open my eyes.“Didn’t you hear me?” Enzo barked. He ya

Enzo POV“Bitch!”“Worthless.”“Trash.”I clicked the phone off and dumped it on the table.“It was an unfair fight,” my right hand said.“It was an ambush. Cowards.”“You’re right. Now, what are you going to do about your little princess?”“I wouldn’t describe Faye as a princess.”My twenty-two-year-old daughter was a menace. She always had been. She was powerful like me, entitled and spoiled because of her grandmother.“Bring her in. We need to talk about this video.”The last thing I thought I’d see was my daughter pummelling Alexandra. My wolf was conflicted. He loved and cared for Faye, but the pull we had to Alexandra couldn’t be ignored.Alex was feisty and smart. The video didn’t do her justice. I knew she was capable of much more.“You got it, Alpha.”My right-hand man disappeared and returned moments later with my daughter. She looked around my office and scowled. Did I mention she was a snob?“When you invited me over for dinner, I didn’t expect you’d want us to eat in your
