Sienna's POV

The gala wasn't like any ordinary ballroom party - everything shimmered with luxury. Red carpets, flashing cameras, celebrities, models, billionaires - everyone who was someone was here.

I stayed close to Nic. He looked powerful tonight - like a king in his perfectly tailored black suit, every inch of it hugging his sexy body to perfection.

I didn't look bad either. I upped my game: a backless glittery black mini dress, high heels, a tiny purse. From the way Nic stared at me earlier, I could tell I stood out - even if he didn't say it. Still... he felt distant. We didn't walk in hand-in-hand. To the world, I was just his assistant.

He mingled with business associates, all desperate for his attention. I slipped away and picked up a glass of champagne.

"Want one?" I asked, offering Nic a drink just as a woman approached.

"Hi, Mr. Steele..." a smooth, icy voice purred.

I turned - and froze.

She had the exact same eyes as me. Cold grey. Blonde hair styled neatly, elegant feat

Nic’s POVThe morning sun spilled through the curtains, landing across her face. She looked peaceful—too peaceful for someone who stormed in last night demanding I let her go.I chuckled at the memory. Let her go? Never. She may never be my wife, never have a “future” with me in the way she dreams, but she’s mine. My baby’s mother. My obsession. I don’t share what’s mine.“Morning, baby,” I murmured. Her eyes opened, sharp and furious. She glared at me, still burning with last night’s anger. She sat up and swung her legs off the bed. “Don’t call me that.”“Easy…” I warned.“Fuck off, Nic.”I smirked. Her fire always made me want her more. “Get ready. We have somewhere to be.”Her brows arched with suspicion. “Where?”“It’s a surprise.”“I hate surprises.” She rolled her eyes, but she didn’t refuse.“Come here,” I said softly, guiding her toward the bathroom. The water streamed down her skin, warm and slick. I lathered soap across her body, slow and deliberate, watching her resist me w

  • Owned by my boss    Emotions

Sometimes you just need love. You need understanding. You need someone who makes you feel safe—someone who reminds you the world can be better. But tonight, I had none of that.Tears streamed down my face as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My cheeks were flushed, swollen from crying, humiliation etched into every line. Nic’s mother had called me a whore—not in private, but in front of the city’s elites. She didn’t care who was there. She wanted blood. And she got it.The sting of her slap still burned against my skin. Janet had tried to shield me, to save me from Calista’s rage, but I ruined her party. Nic had dragged me out, protecting me while Kate nearly tore into his mother. Chaos. Shame. Pain.I pressed trembling fingers to my lips as fresh tears fell. My heart shattered into pieces—pieces I wasn’t sure I could ever put back together. My life was a mess. I was a mess.I loved a man who didn’t love me back. To him, I wasn’t a partner. I wasn’t even a choice. I was just th

I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I’d gained a little weight, though my baby bump wasn’t obvious yet. My silver sleeveless bodycon dress shimmered under the light, the high slit showing just enough leg. Radiant. Beautiful. Tonight, I looked every bit the part.Janet Maddox was hosting her party, and Kate—my party-loving partner-in-crime—was already there. Of course she wouldn’t miss it; she adored Janet and found her fascinating.“Miss, sir awaits you downstairs,” Anita, my assigned maid, said softly.“I’ll be there,” I replied, grabbing my purse. It had been a day since my heated argument with Nic. A day since he’d gone down on me—not forcefully, but as a reminder. A reminder that in his mind, I was his. His possession. His words haunted me: I don’t share what’s mine.I hadn’t heard from Kelvin since. My calls went straight to voicemail. Dread gnawed at me. I planned to ask Nic about him tonight. Heaven help me if he’d done anything to him.The limousine door opened, and I sli

The sharp smell of disinfectant and medicine filled the hospital, making my stomach churn. I pressed a hand against my mouth, fighting the urge to throw up.“You okay?” Nic asked softly, his hand rubbing small circles on my back.“I’m fine… I just hate the smell,” I muttered.“We can lea—”“Don’t worry, Nic. I’ll be fine.” I cut him off, touching his hand, trying to reassure him. Before he could say more, a weak, raspy voice drifted from the hospital bed.“I didn’t know you were into blondes, son.”I turned, startled. Lying there was an older version of Nic—same eyes, same sharp jaw, only aged and frail. His father. Wires and tubes connected him to humming machines, and a nurse quietly adjusted his IV drip beside him.“Good day, sir,” I said politely, stepping closer. My eyes scanned the room instinctively, searching for signs of his mother—or Clara, the perfect fiancée. Neither were here.“Oh, my dear… come here.” His father reached out, his touch gentle, warm—almost fatherly. My che

I woke up to a loud noise in the house. Not just noise—chaos.“Where is she? That whore of yours!”Her voice. His mother’s voice. My heart jumped as the door flew open.“You,” she spat, storming toward me. Nic held her back before she could reach me.“What gave you the right to enter my son’s life and destroy it?” she hissed, her face twisted with rage. “How dare you? You are nothing but a slut. You think because you’re carrying his child, you’ll carry his last name? Never. Not while I’m alive. When you give birth, I’ll take custody of the child and you will leave my son for good!”“Mum—” Nic tried to cut in.“No one is taking custody of my child,” I said sharply, my voice shaking but firm. The room froze. Even Clara—standing smugly behind Nic’s mother—seemed taken aback.“What did you just say?” his mum snapped.“I said no one is taking custody of my child,” I repeated, my chest heaving. “It’s mine. My womb. My baby. Not you, not anyone will take him away from me.”I knew her plan. T

I stared at the coffee in front of me, swirling it around the cup, not having any appetite for it.“Girl, Clara is a bitch. Imagine if she had actually hurt you—or the baby. Nic would’ve killed her for sure,” Kate said as we both sat in our favorite coffee shop. What happened earlier with Clara still lingered in my mind. She had no idea I was pregnant. When she found out, she was so shocked she fainted. I always knew Clara was fragile, even if she never showed it. Nic had called in after the butler reported what happened. He said he would take care of Clara.Ann, on the other hand, asked too many questions—so many that I ended up snapping at her. I still needed to apologize for that. Maybe I was acting up because of pregnancy hormones.“Earth to Sienna…” Kate snapped her fingers in front of my face.“If Clara didn’t send that message, then who did?” I murmured.“His mother?” she suggested.I looked at her sharply. “She won’t stoop that low, Kate.”“Yeah, sure. Tell that to someone els
