She began rambling as she talked. She figured that if she kept asking questions, Roman would forget to continue what he wanted to ask. But to her surprise, he didn't interrupt her. In fact, he listened carefully to everything she said. He smiled softly at her when she mentioned the 'lost' part of her life and told her that he had come here with his father when he was young. Then he began telling her about all of the places they had visited, all the different sights that they had seen, and all the things he had learned during his years traveling. And before she knew it, it was already dark outside and she had spent most of the day talking to him.She had enjoyed their conversation and felt herself smiling when he said something funny. Roman awoke from his trance, shaking his head as if to shake the awful memory out of his mind. His breathing quickened as panic gripped his heart and he fought to calm down.
