Soon grow up

"What are we gonna do today?" Ezra asks.

"Do you have time to go grocery shopping?" I ask him.

"Sure." Ezra replies.

"You pick out anything that you want and I'll pay."

"Okay." I tell him. "Come on."

I guide him through the kitchen and I point him in the direction of the pantry and then I watch as he grabs several bags of groceries and then he disappears into the hallway.

He returns a few moments later and I follow after him as he leads me to his car. After buckling up, Ezra gets behind the wheel and then he backs out of the parking lot and then we drive to the grocery store.

Once we arrive, I park the car in a parking spot. After leaving my purse on the seat beside me, we both get out and then we start walking down the aisle.

"Is there anything you need?" Ezra asks me.

"Yeah, I think there should be a package of peanut butter here." I reply, glancing around the aisles.

"Ok." Ezra says, nodding his head. "Which one do you want?"

"Umm...that one." I respond, pointing to the package

    The next morning, Alessia woke up early.     "That's a very valid question. And I don't blame you at all for missing me, Alessia. But don't feel guilty, okay? I would never be mad at you or upset if you ever thought about coming back to me. She requested with a small smile.As soon as I heard the words we will talk being said aloud, I felt slightly relieved. However, it only lasted for a short amount of time because I immediately thought about what Ezra had said to me the night before. He had asked me to wait until tomorrow to give myself a chance to talk about the things that troubled me, so now, I was starting to wonder whether my decision to wait was a good idea.
