Alyssa’s Pov

My heart seemed like it was about time for it to give up beating and a cold sweat slid down my forehead as anxiety overwhelmed me. It really seemed like a few minutes from now, the supervisor was going to find out that I was the female whom he could smell.

I clenched my fists and tried my best to stay calm, and not fidget. My lips were trembling slightly, but I still had to respond to the supervisor or he would only suspect me right away.

“I… I haven’t noticed the scent of any girl. Probably you’re mistaken.” I responded, trying to sound as calm as possible.

Then he looked at me, squinting his eyes as he scrutinized me like he needed to pass an exam. But then, I slowly looked away as I couldn’t keep eye contact with him for so long. What If he would be able to tell I’m a female just by looking into my eyes?
