I woke up with a heavy feeling in my chest that had become my constant companion for the last week. I didn't want to open my eyes. I didn't want to face the reality of my room or the silence of my phone. I had put it on Do Not Disturb days ago. Every time it buzzed with a notification from Silas or a missed call from Alaric, I felt like I was suffocating.

I dragged myself out of bed and walked to the mirror. I looked terrible. My face was dull, my skin pale, and my eyes had dark circles

  • Owned by the triplet   The Council’s Reckoning

I sat at the head of the long table, my hands flat on the smooth surface. Across from me sat the five elders of the Council. They were old, they were arrogant, and they were currently trying to tell me how to run my territory. Silas sat to my right, leaning back with his arms crossed, a look of bored annoyance on his face. Killian sat to my left, his jaw tight. He hadn't said a word in twenty minutes, but I could hear his fingernails drumming a slow, warning rhythm against the side of his chair."The decision has been made, Alaric," Elder George said, his voice thin and raspy. He tapped a stack of papers in front of him. "The human girl is a liability. The treaties are very clear about inter-species mixing. We need to remove her from the estate before this turns into a war we cannot win.""A human mate is a stain on our history," Lord Thorne added from the corner of the table. He looked at me with pure disgust. "She cannot shift. She cannot run with the pack. She has no beas

Sarah turned out to be exactly what I needed. She didn't treat me like a Queen, and she definitely didn't treat me like a prisoner. She treated me like a normal person who just happened to be having a very strange week. We sat in the sunroom, the afternoon light hitting the floor in long, warm stripes. She had brought a bag of yarn and was working on a tiny blue sweater."How far along are you exactly?" I asked. I watched her needles click together in a steady, calming rhythm."Seven months," she said. she stopped for a second to rub her belly with a tired smile. "Jax is a total nervous wreck. He won't let me walk to the mailbox without four guards trailing behind me. Lycan pregnancies are intense, Elena. The babies grow fast and they are a lot stronger, even before they are born. I feel like I'm carrying a little bowling ball that likes to kick my ribs.""I can imagine," I whispered. I thought about the raw power I had felt from the triplets last night. If their childre

  • Owned by the triplet   The Morning After

The light coming through the heavy curtains was soft, but it still felt too bright for my eyes. I moved my legs under the silk sheets and immediately let out a small groan. Every single muscle in my body felt heavy and sore, a dull ache that reminded me exactly of everything that had happened on this bed. My thighs felt like lead, and even moving my arms to reach for the other side of the bed felt like a chore.I reached out my hand, expecting to feel one of them, but the mattress was empty. I was alone in the room, but the air still smelled like them—sandalwood, expensive rain, and that wild, metallic scent of the pack. The silence of the room was heavy, but it didn't feel lonely. It felt like I was being given a moment to breathe.I sat up slowly, the sheets sliding down my skin. I realized then that I wasn't sticky or messy. Someone had cleaned me while I was unconscious. I was wearing one of Alaric’s large, soft t-shirts that smelled just like him. It hung low on my fram

  • Owned by the triplet   The Triplet’s Claim

The air in the bedroom was so thick and hot it felt like a physical weight. After weeks of running, fighting, and pushing them away, I was finally the one who had opened the door. The brothers didn't waste another second. They moved like a single shadow, surrounding me on the massive bed until I couldn't see anything but their glowing eyes and the moonlight hitting their skin.Alaric moved over me first. He didn't say a word, but his expression was more intense than I had ever seen it. He gripped my wrists and pinned them above my head, holding them easily with one hand. With his other hand, he guided himself to my lips. I opened for him instantly. He was large and hot, and as he pushed inside, my eyes rolled back into my head. I couldn't speak even if I wanted to. I could only make small, desperate whining sounds in my throat as he began to move, filling my mouth with a slow, steady rhythm."Look at her," Silas whispered. He was kneeling beside me, his hand sliding over my

The house felt different after the night in the clearing. It was quieter, but it wasn't the scary kind of quiet. It was like everyone was waiting for something to happen. I walked through the halls, and for the first time, the guards didn't look at me like a prisoner. They looked at me with respect. But something was wrong with the triplets.Ever since I met their wolves, they had become distant. They were still there, always in the same room or just a few feet away, but they weren't touching me. Alaric didn't tuck my hair behind my ear. Silas didn't linger his hand on my waist. Even Killian, who usually couldn't keep his hands off me, stayed at a distance.I sat at the dining table for lunch, picking at my food. Silas was sitting across from me, reading a report. Alaric was next to him, and Killian was leaning against the counter, drinking a beer."Is the food okay, Elena?" Silas asked without looking up."It’s fine," I said. "Everything is fine."I waited f

  • Owned by the triplet   The Heart of the Beast

The fire from last night had burned down to glowing coals, but the warmth in the room stayed. I woke up feeling different. For the first time since the night at the bar, I didn't feel like a bird in a cage. I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I looked at the ceiling and realized I had stopped dreaming about the city. I was dreaming about them.I got out of bed and walked to the large balcony. The estate was waking up. I could see the guards moving in the distance and the sun hitting the trees. I touched the Mark on my neck. It didn't sting. It hummed with a soft, steady pulse that felt like a second heartbeat."You're up early," Alaric said. He was standing by the door, wearing a simple black sweater. He didn't look like a cold professor. He looked like a man who had finally found peace."I couldn't sleep," I said, turning to him. "I was thinking.""About running?" he asked. There was no anger in his voice, just a quiet curiosity."No," I said.
