GRACE

Training this morning was canceled. My body held bluish-purple bruises and there was a discomfort between my legs. Silas felt bad after seeing the damage he had done but I assured him that I was perfectly fine. By midday I would have been fully healed. It wasn't as if I hadn't enjoyed what happened between us last night. Being with him was exhilarating.

After we had a shower and he made breakfast for us, we waited for Xander. Silas grew distant, putting up a mental block so I couldn't intrude on his thoughts or speak to him via the mind link. I already knew why he was giving me the cold shoulder. He didn't believe me when I said I was okay. He regretted being so rough and didn't believe me when I said I actually enjoyed it.

We were sitting in his office, him behind his desk and me curled up on a couch reading one of the many books that sat on his shelves. He had gotten a new desk after the last time
