ONE

During the day the atmosphere in the city center is so crowded and busy. Everyone seemed to be walking here and there with their own business. As the day progresses, the atmosphere in the city center gets busier and more crowded. Some students and college students also started to jostle out of the building where they were studying to go home immediately or just to buy snacks in the campus yard.

A shoulder-length brown haired girl walked slowly down the stone steps in front of her campus. Holding a navy blue folder, the girl continued to walk confidently to stop the bus at the public bus stop in front of her campus.

"Hana."

A loud scream made the brown-haired girl stop in her tracks and immediately look for the source of the sound. Before long, Hana also waved her hand in return for a wave from the jet black haired girl who was now standing under the shady roof of the shelter not far from where she was standing.

"Hey, what are you doing here? Where's that shiny red car you used to use and that hot guy of yours?" The jet black-haired girl teased Hana.

Knowing that her friend was teasing her, Hana couldn't help but smile slightly as she sat herself down on an empty bench right next to her best friend's seat.

"It just so happened that today I just wanted to enjoy the fresh air around campus." Hana said calmly. Under any circumstances, that woman always shows her soft side to anyone, and that's why Im Hana always gets the nickname as the campus goddess.

While waiting for the red bus to arrive, Hana began to observe the various sights that were presented in front of her. The hot afternoon wind blew Hana's shoulder-length brown hair gently. Not far from where she was sitting, her irises caught an unsightly scene happening before her eyes. There, a man with mental retardation was being ridiculed by some of her college friends, and they even pushed him several times until his minus glasses were thrown to the ground. With firm determination, Hana wanted to stand up and help the poor man. But her best friend, Kim Sooyoung, suddenly pulled her hand to her feet and immediately got into the red public bus that would take her home.

"Sooyoung, that guy—"

"Come on, just let it go. He's just a crazy guy who's unlucky because he met those bad boys." Sooyoung said casually while waving her hand.

Im Hana is still watching the man with a pity look. Really, deep down she wanted to help the man. But, she also had to go home.

"Poor him. Can I go down and help that guy? I will take the next bus to go home or I will call Kyunghee to pick me up.”

“Ahh, I told you there was no need. Just ignore that guy. He's just a crazy guy who doesn't know anything Hana. What if he attacks you while you're trying to help him? Forget it. This bus will be leaving soon.” Sooyoung said while pulling Hana's hand to sit on one of the empty chairs.

Slowly the red bus walked away from the campus area where Hana studied. When the bus began to slow down, her eyes never left to observe the poor young man while praying that the young man would soon be free from the clutches of the bad boys who kept hurting him. But since then, Hana has been asking herself, why is this man with mental retardation in her campus? Does he live in one of the houses behind the campus building? Or was the young man lost and separated from his family? Dunno, Hannah doesn't know. She only really hoped that the poor man would return home safely.

Cho Kyunghee entered his room with an angry face. This morning his dirty business was caught by the police again. Even though he has always been careful when he sends the drugs to various countries in any part of the world. But for some reason, lately, his business seems to be being toyed with by someone. There's just a strange incident that does not make sense that befell his dark business. As happened on Wednesday two days ago, a man who usually never complains about the quality of his drugs suddenly came and said that the drugs that were sent to the man were fake. And after he proved it himself, it turned out that the drugs were indeed fake. Someone had exchanged the packet of drugs the man should have received and replaced it with a regular fever medicine.

Kyunghee massaged his dizzy temples with furrowed forehead. He reached for his smartphone which was lying on the table. When he opened the lock button on his phone, the first image that appeared there was the beautiful face of his girlfriend who was smiling very sweetly at the camera, as if she was smiling at him. Kyunghee subconsciously smiled at the portrait of her very beautiful lover.

"I miss you." Kyunghee whispered softly into his cellphone, as if the image on his cellphone was Hana who could hear every sentence he said. Kyunghee glanced briefly at the watch wrapped around his wrist.

It's one o'clock in the afternoon. Kyunghee thought to himself. Usually he would pick up his girlfriend and after that they would have lunch together. But.. this time the atmosphere is not the same. He's dealing with the police. He didn't want to involve Hana in his troubles or other dangerous things. It was enough that he had put Hana in a very dire situation at that time. This time, after the bully is gone, Kyunghee vows never to put Hana in such a terrible situation again. He will always protect Hana no matter what.

Knock knock

Suddenly Kyunghee's daydream stopped and was replaced with a flat face that implied his arrogant attitude. With a firm voice, Kyunghee immediately ordered the person to enter his room.

"Come in." Kyunghee said briefly.

Not long after, secretary Park appeared, carrying files and a red folder. Before walking closer, secretary Park bowed his body for a moment and walked back to approach Kyunghee.

“Sir, these are the files for our financial statements for this month,” said secretary Park while placing the pile of files on Kyunghee's desk.

Kyunghee looked at the files without interest.

"Then what is it?" pointed Kyunghee at the red folder that Secretary Park was holding.

“This is a folder containing the will of Mr. Lee. Lawyer Jung wants you to read this will and after that you are asked to contact him.” The secretary said politely.

Kyunghee studied the will with a frown. A year before his father died, he never wrote any will. Because in the past... he himself witnessed his father's death.

“Put that folder over there. I'll read it later. After this do I have a schedule to lead a meeting?”

"No sir. Today your schedule is quite loose.”

"Then you can go. I will sign the reports.”

Secretary Park then lowers his head slightly and immediately walks out of his boss’s office.

After Secretary Park left his room, Kyunghee started reaching for the papers to sign them one by one. If today he can finish it, then tomorrow he can spend time with Hana. However the corner of his eye accidentally glanced at the big red folder that secretary Park had brought. While slamming the pen on the table, Kyunghee immediately grabbed the red folder and opened it roughly. It turned out that the existence of the folder was more interesting than the financial report files he was supposed to sign today.

Kyunghee read all the writings there with a straight face. Most of his father's wills point to his older brother, Lee Haekyo. However, in the end he will inherit all of his father's wealth. His current older brother would definitely not be able to lead all of his father's companies, because he's sick right now.

"What's this?" Kyunghee whispered while frowning. In his father's will it was written, if the heir of the entire Lee family property would fully fall into the hands of the heir if the heir was married. Damn that old bastard! Those were the only words that crossed Kyunghee's mind after he finished reading the will. But after he managed to read the entire contents of the will, he became angry and very upset.

"Shit! Why did you write such a terrible will like this? I really need my father's assets in Gangwon to set up the biggest ecstasy factory in Asia. And it turns out he's not stupid. Father hid the land certificate in the civil registry department. They definitely won't hand over the letter to me before I actually get married according to the conditions my father has written here. Argh! No other way. I really have to force Hana to marry me immediately.”

Roughly, Kyunghee immediately pulled his brown suit draped over the chair. Today he must convince the woman that he is willing to marry her in the near future. He could no longer wait for the inheritance any longer!
