ANGELINA

I watched all the trees zoom past us until we reached a cottage looking house. It was pretty big, but not as big as the castle that seemed to be built in the middle of this place. It intrigued me as we pulled into the driveway. My grandfather took my bags into the house while I stood outside admiring the huge house ahead.

“Does someone live there?” I asked my grandmother when I noticed her next to me.

“A lot of people live in that house. You could say it’s a communal house for everyone who lives this side,” she informed.

“You love this place, don’t you?” I asked. She nodded.

“It’s been my home for a long time, and I hope you’ll like it too,” she said as she squeezed my shoulder. I nodded and returned to my mute state.

My grandparents didn’t pressure me to do anything. They just notified me that they’d signed me up to continue my Senior Year at the high school here and that I’d be starting the following day.

I was more than ok with that. I just needed to be one with myself. At one in the morning, I was sitting at my window, staring at the moon. It looked beautiful and I was completely pulled to it, until I heard a wolf howl. I frowned. I didn’t know that there were wolves around here. I shook my head and got into bed.

***

I pushed the gate and entered. I was met by a beautiful woman and she had a wolf laying beside her. “Angelina dear, come here,” she called to me.

I approached her warily, but the smile on her face calmed me. I walked until I stood in front of her. “You’re so beautiful,” she said, caressing my cheek.

The familiar touch was amazing. “Who are you?” I asked.

“I am your mother dear,” she smiled. She looked nothing like my mother.

I frowned. “My mother is dead, and she looked nothing like you.”

“You will understand everything soon my dear. For now, I need you to be strong for me. You have a great destiny to fulfil Angelina, and I need you to be ready to accept it when it comes. I also need you to be patient with your mate when he finds you. He will have a lot of resentment and pain, but you will both need each other,” she smiled.

Mate? The heck is a mate?

I was about to ask what she meant, when the wolf beside her got up. It was a clear wolf, but I could see its outline. I was frozen as it got up and looked ready to charge at me. I stepped back, silently pleading, but I had no such luck. It charged right for me, and I closed my eyes, as I waited for the impact.

***

I woke up sweating, and only realized I had screamed when I met the two pairs of eyes eyeing me worriedly. My grandparents hugged me and I hugged them back, but I wasn’t upset. I was confused more than anything.

What did my dream even mean?

“Honey, it’s time to get up for school,” my grandmother informed. I nodded and got out of bed.

I took a shower and got dressed. I dried my hair and styled it into curls. I put on my contacts, making my eye colour blue. I grabbed my white leather jacket and bag with iPad, notebook, and phone before heading down. My grandparents were having breakfast and my grandmother passed me a plate with food on it. I graciously accepted it and joined them.

Soon I was ready.

“I’ve programmed the co-ordinates into your car, so you’ll know how to get to school,” my grandfather announced. My grandmother had driven their car here, while he drove mine.

“Thanks,” I said before kissing both their cheeks and heading out.

My black Chevrolet Camaro with silver stripes was sitting in the driveway. It was actually a present I got on my birthday from my parents. I couldn’t believe they’d given it to me just a week ago. My heart ached as I got in and made my way to school.

I didn’t know how I’d get through the day, but I would try.

I parked the car and noticed that everyone was looking at me.

Just great!

I walked into the building, avoiding everyone as they all stared at me. It was weird, and the tension in the air was thick. I felt like they could pounce on me at any moment as I made my way to the office. When I opened the door, the secretary looked up before sneering.

“Who are you?” she asked rudely. I frowned.

“My name is Angelina Wisteria and I’m new here,” I replied, not understanding her attitude towards me. She looked through her stuff before throwing a package at me. I just barely caught it.

“Everything you need is in there,” she said brusquely.

I nodded and walked out, not really wanting to be in her presence anymore. I opened the package and found my locker number, combination, books, and schedule. I made my way to my locker and put my books in there, taking only my books for the first lessons, and my iPad and notebook. The staring hadn’t stopped, and I thought I could even hear growling, but I shook it off.

My first day was filled with stares, and the rest of the week hadn’t gone any differently. By Friday, I was used to it, even if I was confused by it. Not to toot my own horn here, but back at home, most people loved me. I couldn’t understand what I did to this bunch of teenagers to have them hate me so much.

I didn’t even know a single one of their names.

“Hi,” a soft voice spoke to me. I almost passed out in disbelief. Not even the teachers had spoken to me.

“Uh hi,” I replied, hiding my astonishment.

“I’m Dahlia, and you’re Angelina right?” she asked. I nodded.

“I know you’re stunned as to why I’m talking to you, but I figured after watching you suffer the staring, you might need a friend,” she smiled. She looked too adorable with her brunette curled bob and green eyes.

“I’d love to be friends,” I smiled. She was the first person to talk to me, and for that I was grateful.

“Yay! But I must warn you, I’m really unpopular, like right at the bottom. You’re my first ever friend,” she said sadly.

“Don’t worry Lia, I promise I’ll never abandon you,” I said as I hugged her. She froze in my hold, before hugging me back.

“Thanks Lina,” she sighed, until she was roughly pulled away from me.

“Well, well, well, what do we have here? Has our little Omega found herself a friend?” a bitchy voice called out.

I looked up to see three girls. The one who had just spoken had red hair and blue eyes, the one next to her had brown hair and hazel eyes, and the one in the middle had blonde hair and green eyes. I felt annoyed in their presence.

“Leave Dahlia alone,” I told them. The blonde laughed.

She smirked evilly. “And what are you going to do about it rogue?”

Rogue?

I scowled. “My name is Angelina, not rogue.”

“No-one asked you,” the red head said.

“Please leave her alone,” Dahlia pleaded, before she was sent flying into the wall by the brown haired. I was shocked at the power of that kick.

“WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR?” I found myself shouting.

What the hell did I do that for?

The blonde raised an eyebrow. “Oh, the rogue has a mouth on her.”

“Just leave Dahlia alone,” I warned.

Where the hell was this confidence coming from?

I didn’t have time to think about that as I was sent flying outside. I rolled down the stairs of the entrance of the school, landing painfully on my back.

“Don’t you ever tell me what to do!” the blonde said menacingly.

“And who are you to stop me?” I stupidly retorted. She kicked me, sending me into one of the cars.

How the hell is she this strong?

“I’m the future Luna of this pack, so watch your mouth!” she spat, punching me. I swear I almost blacked out.

“I’m not scared of you,” I said before spitting my blood out as I managed to stand. My whole body was on fire from pain.

She smirked. “Oh? Well you should be.”

Next thing I knew, I was being dragged by my hair. We reached the woods and the three girls beat me up to a pulp. I could feel my bones breaking, and I heard Dahlia whimper before my vision blacked out.

SILAS“Daemons?” Angelina offered.“Ah, that would explain it. Daemonic pregnancies are not painful at all,” he informed.“Really?” Angelina and I asked.“Yep! We’ve never understood it, but it’s always been that way. Anyway, let’s get you sorted out. I’ll get Julia to come and attend to you,” he smiled. Julia is the gynaecologist here.“Thanks,” I said before we were lead to a room. I helped her change out of her gown into the hospital dress.“Si, where are you guys?” Kieran linked me.“Doctor’s quarters,” I replied.“What’s wrong?” my best friend panicked.“Nothing much! Everyone had settled into our home and we were all just looking forward to a peaceful night. I looked around me and smiled as I watched everyone with their mates. My sisters in particular made me really smile. Krallion is such a big softie when it comes to Iris and I, it’s not even funny.Chen had been looking very disorientated and I was worried. Iris didn’t seem bothered by this. In fact, she looked amused by the fact that he was disorientated. Something told me I would love finding out why he was like that and that’s exactly what I did.“Chen, what’s wrong?” I asked him.“It’s nothing,” he whispered. He really looked traumatized.“Aw, come on babe, tell them how you pissed in your pants

IRIS“I do, but I have my conditions that I will discuss with the Council later. Right now I just want to be with my family,” my father replied as Lucia began stirring.“So, I have two daughters?” she whispered as she took in the twins.“Well three when you count Isis,” Angelina smiled. There was silence for a while.“I can live with that,” Lucia smiled before opening her arms up for us. I didn’t hesitate joining the family hug.“What about Axel and Isak?” Silas asked. My father shrugged. “They’re Krallion’s responsibility now.”“Uhm hun, could you perhaps turn the sky back to its normal colour?” Angelica asked Krallion since the sky was still dark, but not like night dark.“Not in this state. The earth sky will affect me,” Krallion responded.“Don’t you have a human transition?” Chen asked him.“No,” Krallion replied.“Daddy?” Angelica looked to him pleadingly.“I don’t know how to do it,” my father admitted, biting his lip. I knew he was thinking hard.“Just think about a human form

IRISBefore anyone could do or say anything, two really bright lights appeared before us. We all shielded our eyes from it. When they had died down, we looked up to find two women staring at all of us. They looked exactly alike, without a difference in place.“Celestina! Celeste! Where have the two of you been?” Axel demanded.“Calm down Axel! Things had to happen this way without any of you being able to find us. It’s been a long time coming, and now things are about to change!” Celeste spoke up before Kree appeared next to them.I frowned. “Kree?”“Hello child,” she smiled.“Kree here is the new Higher Power of Magic. She has a successor here on earth, whom she will watch over. When he reaches the right age, he will become the Great Witch,” Celestina said.“A male Great Witch? Is that even possible?” Troy asked.“It is the way it will be. Since that is the future, we will now address the present. Axel, you have been stripped of all your power as the Creator!
