Lilith was intoxicating; everything about her, like the smell of a crisp autumn night and fresh apples and how it clung to her and tempted me to want nothing more than to stay as close to her as possible so I could breathe her in. To the feel of her skin, so soft and warm, I never wanted to let her go. She called to me in a way I didn't understand, and the loss of control she seemed to instill in me drove me nuts.

But it was her attitude and bite that really set me off. It had my heart beating faster in my chest and excitement coursing through my veins. She was a fucking drug, addictive and dangerous, and that was why I had tried to end her all those years ago. She was a weakness I knew others would use against me once they found out, and I couldn't have that, not then, not now.
