Shirtless

ENIOLA GAVE A sturdy knock on the dark wooden door of her father's office. Taking the muffled sound as permission to enter the office, she pushed the door open, and was greeted with the smell of old books.

The office was dark and cold. The ray of sunshine being the only light in the room. Books were neatly arranged in alphabetical order on the shelves. Bulky files were placed atop each other on a side table. Timetables, schedules and rosters were pinned on a board that was hung on the peeling white wall.

Prof. Ajayi Craig was sitting on a chair behind his large mahogany desk. He was talking to someone on the phone, and he seemed annoyed. That explains the muffled sound she heard behind the door, Eniola thought.  She stood there awkwardly while contemplating if she should take her seat or not. 

She decided to stick with the latter.
