“My intense focus at work,” Harper said softly. She started washing his arms, slowly moving the soapy light blue shower puff over his upper arm. When she moved the soapy light blue shower puff upward to his upper arms, the shower puff and her fingers brushed against his armpits. Oliver let out a surprised laugh as her fingers found the sensitive skin under his arms, his body jerking slightly in response to the unexpected tickling. His icy blue eyes snapped open, catching the playful glint in her blue green eyes as she worked the light blue shower puff over his biceps and forearms. “Hey now, no fair using my won ticklish spot against me,” he protested good–naturedly, though his laugh made the words less convincing. “I am supposed to be relaxing here.” His arms flexed instinctively under her touch, muscles contracting in response to both the tickling and the way her hands felt against his skin. The warm water sloshed gently around them both. “You are enjoying this too much,” he accused with a grin, leaning forward slightly to try catching her hands. “Making me squirm while I am supposed to be enjoying this nice bath.”

“Hey, I was just trying to do my job here,” Harper said playfully, “Would you like to wash you own arm pits?” she offered him the light blue shower puff. Oliver’s grin widened at her playful tone, his icy blue eyes sparkling with amusement as he took the light blue shower puff from her hands. “Oh, so now I am doing the work? I think I prefer when you are in charge.” He began washing his own underarms with the light blue shower puff, his movements deliberate. “Let me wash your back now,” he suggested softly, his voice taking on a more serious tone. He dipped the light blue shower puff in the warm water and then reapplied the shower gel to it. Harper turned around in the tub, so her back was to him, and she moved her slightly wet auburn hair out of the way, giving him clear access to her back. Oliver’s breath caught at the sight of her back presented to him so trustingly, the curve of her spine and the delicate line of her neck. He took a moment to appreciate the view before taking the light blue shower puff and moving it across her back, his movements became more reverent. “Beautiful,” he murmured his voice barely above a whisper. “Every part of you is perfect.” The warm water streamed down her back as he began washing gently, starting at the base of her neck and working his way down. His hands moved slowly and deliberately, using the soapy light blue shower puff to massage away any tension her found along the way. “You are so tense here,” Oliver noted softly, his fingers pressing into a particularly tight spot between her shoulder blades. “Working too hard at the office?” his other hand came up to brush aside wet strands of hair that had fallen back into pace, exposing more skin for him to kiss or touch as desired.

“We both work too hard. I can’t remember the last time I have a relaxing warm bath,” Harper says, her voice relaxed. Oliver’s hands paused their movement, his thumbs continuing to press gently into her shoulders as he processed her words. A flicker of guilt crossed his features, visible even in the steamy bathroom air. “You are right,” he admitted quietly, his voice carrying a rare note of vulnerability. “We both work ourselves to death. I am the one who sets those expectations, pushing everyone in the company to meet unrealistic deadlines.” His free hand reached out to wrap around her waist underwater, pulling her closer. The warm water surrounded them both as he rested his chin on her shoulder. “I see you burning the candle at both ends every day– staying late to finish reports, coming in early to prep for meetings…” Oliver’s lips brushed against the shell of her ear as he spoke. “I would do it whether you expected it or not. I like working, more than other things.” Harper admits softly. “Normally, I find baths boring, but this is not boring at all,” she adds quickly. Oliver’s arms tightened around her waist, a soft sigh escaping him. “You are too dedicated. It is one of the things I admire about you but also the thing I worry about sometimes.” His voice was low, close to her ear. “I don’t want you burning out because of my expectations.” He sat back, removing his chin from her shoulders and his hands resumed their gentle washing, moving from her shoulders down to her lower back. The soapy light blue shower puff glided smoothy over her skin, creating a pleasant friction against the warm water. “This is not boring because it is not just a bath,” he murmured. “It is us taking care of each other. That makes all the difference.”

“You are one to talk. You overwork yourself all the time,” Harper says, turning slightly to look into his icy blue eyes. “You have no idea how many times I came into the office to see you looking like you slept there and wanted to scold you.” Oliver’s expression softened at her admission, a rare hint of vulnerability flashing in his icy blue eyes. He leaned back slightly, giving her more room to turn and face him fully in the tub. The water lapped gently around their joined bodies as he studied her face. “You wanted to scold me?” he repeated with a small smile. “I can only imagine how that would have gone. You probably would have lectured me about proper sleep hygiene and the importance of boundaries.” His hands moved to rest on her hips underwater, thumbs tracing slow circles along the curve of her waist. The steam from the bath seemed to intensify around them, creating an intimate cocoon where only their conversation mattered. “I am glad you never did,” he admitted quietly. “Most people just tiptoe around me when I am in one of my moods. But you… you would have actually called me out on my shit.” Harper turned around completely and declared, “I really wanted to and now I definitely will. From now on we will take care of each other.” She then leaned forward to kiss him.

“I am yours,” she said softly. “I promise. No more gifts from anyone. I am sure you will make it worth my while.” Oliver’s entire body visibly relaxed at her complete surrender, the possessive tension melting into pure adoration. A slow, predatory smile spread across his face as he processed the weight of her promise. “Good girl,” he praised thickly, his voice dripping with satisfaction. “You have no idea how long I have wanted to hear you say that.” His hands moved from her back to slide up alone her ribcage until they cupped both breasts firmly through the red laced bra. Thumbs circled her nipples slowly while his lips returned to assault hers hungrily. “You will never regret choosing me,” he vowed against her mouth between kisses. “I will buy you everything you want– jewelry, designer clothes, whatever makes you feel like the queen you are.” The possessive promises flowed freely now that boundarie

“It is adorable how impatient you get,” Harper said with a bright smile. “Most me don’t put in the work like that.” Oliver’s expression softened completely at her compliment, a rare blush colouring his cheeks. “Impatience is my biggest flaw when it comes to you,” he admitted gruffly, lowering himself fully onto the mattress beside her. His large hands framed either side of her head as he propped himself up on his elbows, studying her face with an intensity that bordered on reverence. “Most men don’t know what they are missing,” he continued quietly. “They want easy conquests or women who play games. You are different.” His thumb brushed along her jawline tenderly. “You make me work for it and I fucking love every second of earning your attention.” The confession hung in the air between them, vulnerability exposed beneath layers of CEO confidence and possessiveness.“Good,” Ha

“Says my boss,” Harper says seriously and drains the water in the sink. “I have to catch up your new secretary on your schedule and then settle in at my new desk.” She wiped her hands dry with the dish cloth hanging on the hook. Then she easily puts away the clean dried dished before going to sit down beside Oliver at the dining table. He watched her sit down beside him, his expression shifting from playful to thoughtful as he considered her practical proposal. “How about you leave early tomorrow morning, it is no big deal if the boss is late. And tomorrow afternoon I will bring some clothes over to your place,” she says practically. Taking a bite of his pizza slice, Oliver chewed slowly while processing her plan. “Alright, alright,” he conceded with a reluctant nod. “Early departure it is. But only because you are being sensible and I can’t argue with your logic.” He pointed his pizza slice at her accusingly. “Don’t think this makes you less tempting though. Knowing I have to leave

“Subtle, huh?” Oliver murmured against her mouth. “I like that. Means I will have to work harder to keep up with my girlfriend’s sneaky possessiveness.” His tongue traced the seam of her lips before sliding inside to taste her more thoroughly. The wall at her back became an anchor as he pressed her against it, letting her feel exactly how much he had been anticipating this moment all day. When he finally pulled back for air, Oliver rested his forehead against hers while his breathing remained ragged. “The pizza will arrive soon,” Harper protested weakly. “And it is my turn to do the dishes.” Oliver groaned dramatically at the reminder of real-word responsibilities, setting her back down on her feet reluctantly. “Pizza can wait. Dished can definitely wait.” He checked his watch quickly before shaking his head dismissively. “Driver knows out address. He will leave it at the door if we don’t answer.” His hands framed her face again, thumbs brushing along her cheekbones as he studied ev

“Which floor are we climbing to? Better hope it’s not the fifth floor or I might have to carry you up there.” His tone was teasing but his grip on her waist indicated he wouldn’t hesitate to follow through on the threat if needed. “The third floor,” Harper said with a soft smile. “And there is no need to carry me. I am very fit considering I have been going up and down these stairs for six months now.” Oliver’s eyebrows shot up in impressed surprise. “Third floor and you have been doing this for six months? Damn, I am starting to think my gym membership is useless compared to your natural stamina.” His hand squeezed her hip approvingly as they started up the first flight of stairs. the sound of their footsteps echoed in the stairwell, creating a sense of privacy despite being in a public building. “Good to know you are not one of those girls who expects me to sweep her off her feet literally,” he added with a dry chuckle. “Though I wouldn’t complain about having an excuse to hold yo

“It was my first week, he asked me out for a drink and… and we had a one-night stand,” Harper said bluntly and then she held her breath waiting for Oliver’s reaction. His entire body went rigid, the protective hand on her thigh tensed instinctively. For a long moment, he said nothing, simple staring at her with an unreadable expression as the city lights streamed past outside the car window. The silence stretched between them, heavy with unspoken emotion. Finally, he let out a short humourless laugh that held no warmth whatsoever. “So, while I was busy think you were this innocent little thing straight out of college, you were sleeping with one of my junior executives.” His voice was dangerously calm, each word carefully measured. The driver up front seemed oblivious to the storm brewing in the backseat. “And how many times since then?” he asked quietly, turning his head to look out at the passing traffic. “Has he been bothering you? Making passes at work? Because if he has–“ He sto
