"Are you coming later?"

I looked up to see Xander's smiling face. It looks welcoming. Most of my classmates that year would either make fun of me or ignore me. I don't mind either of those. I'm used to it. That's why it's refreshing to have someone approach me to make friends.

"I have some things to do at the farm," I said while arranging my things.

"I'll let Grandma Gracia know. Mommy baked cookies for us. Cianna's coming, too." He smiled.
