Violent Storm Sword

Noah stared at the furious Rax who circulated his Essence regardless of the precautions that would be brought upon him. Just when the latter thought the former would withdraw, Noah instead dashed forward.

His body turned into a blur as he reached towards Rax. He planned to take care of the man before he could get used to his increase in strength.

But his plans were dashed as the latter immediately came to his senses and punched forward when Noah got close. Berserker's Fist!

Noah immediately retreated with his Flicker. Dodging to the side before kicking at Rax's legs. Dragon Sweep! The man could do nothing against the sudden attack. His body fell to the side allowing his opponent to slash down at him with his Gravity Force powered sword. Vertical Cleave!

Rax panicked and swiftly crossed his arms to defend against the powerful attack that headed at him.

The ground caved in, unable to handle the strength released from the attack. But the man stood up soon spitting out a bit of blood before smiling crazily, revealing his bloodied teeth. "You're a real pain in the ass, brat!"

Noah stared at Rax with narrowed eyes, he didn't expect much from that attack earlier, and the opponent was much stronger than him. Worse, the man had stopped limiting himself, giving no care to the chaotic Essence that ravaged his insides. 'The best solution here is to tire him out, but I don't think my body can last that long.'

Unfortunately the enemy didn't give him enough time to think. Rax rushed forward with his fist clenched.

Noah tensed expecting the usual Air cannon, yet the former changed his plans. His fists unclenched to form a palm which he slapped out. Berserker's Palm: Air Sweep! Unlike the usual concentrated cannon-like attack, the one he executed seemed more scattered and covered a much wider area. Noah could not do much against the attack since his Flicker wasn't that advanced to teleport across such a large area, so he could only execute his Dragon Guard at the expense of some strained muscles.

The defense didn't do much. Noah hadn't spent much time practicing the Azure Dragon Body Building Exercises so his current body couldn't handle much of the technique. Still, it was better than nothing and although the attack still breached his defense and affected him, pain was no new concept to the transmigrator.

He simply gritted his teeth and dashed forward once more. At this point, his body would soon lack the stamina to keep on executing the Azure Dragon Art so there was no need to conserve his Essence either. Rax welcomed him with a battle stance as the man had used up a large amount of his Essence. Although he was raging inside at the death of his brother, he wasn't dumb enough to waste all his energy against a cunning and slippery opponent.

Noah saw this and decided to use his trump card. His Essence surged out to coat his arms and sword as he regulated his breathing. In the next moment, he utilized the skill he had been taught by Luke. His first Battle Art learned in this new world. Violent Storm Sword: First Form, Gale Sword!

Immediately, he felt the Essence coating him circulate within his arm boosting him significantly. His sword slashed out with a furious light as he attacked Rax.

In that second, Noah had turned into a blur as he slashed 4 times! And he kept those attacks for 3 seconds! A total of 12 slashes within three seconds!

The burly Rax paused in shock as he tried to guard against the barrage of attacks but was helpless, he had wasted too much of his Essence and accumulated even more internal wounds. He could do nothing as the swords buried themselves into his body, cutting away his right arm. "RAAAAHHH!!!" His mind immediately did the most reasonable thing and attacked with all his power as a last ditch effort to preserve his life!

But the transmigrator seemed to have guessed such a thing would happen. After all he had seen many people doing such in his past life. He executed Flicker while using his Silver Dragon Eyes to notice the flaw in Rax's last moment attack and barely deflect it, but not without suffering more injuries. Noah, though, didn't care about that. His muscles tensed as he attacked once more. Azure Dragon Art: Vertical Cleave.

With an upward slash, Rax's left hand disconnected with his body, leaving the man armless.

The assailant's face scrunched up in fear. "Please, let me leave. I'll do anything."

Noah's movements didn't pause though, those words had been heard by him too many times in the past. "Not interested." His sword slashed out once more.

Silence finally dawned upon the forest. Noah crouched and leaned upon a tree regulating his breath. His lips were sealed shut as he dealt with the pain that came as an aftermath of using the Azure Dragon Art with such a weak body. He could only hope that his new body would adapt to the Martial art as soon as possible. Luckily the fight just now had managed to elevate him to Level 6 of the Novice Stage.

For now, he waited in the quiet forest for his broken body to heal enough for him to move. So he did. His clear and indifferent eyes stayed on the corpses as he urged his remaining Essence to heal his body.

In the end, the wait lasted for about 5 hours. It was only then that the transmigrator found enough strength in him to move.

He didn't even bother to clear up the bodies as he left the area. It was already dark so he would find a cave to rest in then move onwards the following morning.

As for his plans for the future? He had already thought of this. At the moment his cultivation speed was quite fast but this was because of his Twin Battlesouls. In the future, he would lag behind because he didn't have the guidance of a proper Cultivation manual. This was something that helped a Battlesoul master guide Essence into his body to train with better efficiency than outright absorption.

It was something so precious, Luke couldn't casually give it out even as one of the high leveled members of his Norton House. Because of this, Noah planned to become a Mercenary and earn money to buy one for himself.

The transmigrator sighed as he thought of his future.

  • Path of a Monarch   Mid-Battle Breakthrough

The two men were shocked as they watched Noah defend against an attack a stage above him but they quickly regained their senses. The two were experienced men, they could roughly gauge that the boy before them was a genius, and a top rated one at that. They had heard too much about entire families disappearing owing to the fact that they had offended a genius while he was weak.If before they were attacking Noah to kill him for the reward on his head, they were now doing it to protect their future. Knowing that a genius was still alive somewhere with hate towards them was not a good feeling. The lean man fought back the pain searing through him with gnashed teeth. "Linear Burst!" His body crouched a bit and burst forth with incredible speed, his dagger pointing towards Noah's neck. Unfortunately Noah had already predicted his next movements from the moment he began crouching. It was impossible for him to use his movement technique again. He had just learnt it and it was impossible fo

  • Path of a Monarch   Battlesoul Suppression

Noah crouched as he controlled his breathing as he hid atop a densely branched tree. The Crouching Tiger Breathing Technique he had learnt from the Norton house circulated as he controlled his breathing and gathered strength. As an experienced veteran, he knew it was impossible to outrun his assailants as they were probably an entire Realm above him, so he would fight using his environment. It didn't take long for two men to walk into the clearing below him. The two arrogantly displayed their Intermediate Realm battle power. Even their Battle Souls hung in the air behind them. The lean one with a pair of daggers featured a small ape-like Beast Soul, hinting at an Agility-type Battle Soul master while the burlier one had a gorilla-like Battle Soul, an Assault-type Battle Soul master. These classification was used to better understand the path of a Battlesoul master. It was based on the Battlesoul's orientation. As an example, Noah's Overlord Sword Emperor Battlesoul was more geared to

  • Path of a Monarch   Departure

Luke released an aggrieved sigh as he walked towards a clearing which served as the location of Noah's and Leonel's training. At the moment the two were currently sparring.Actually to call it sparring was too conservative, it was more like Noah was guiding Leonel but unlike Luke who taught Essence control and the use of the sword, he taught Leonel precise control of one's muscles. Leonel, on the other hand, said nothing and absorbed all the knowledge poured into him showing the kind of heaven defying genius he was.In fact, not to talk of his parents, even Leonel could guess that something was up with Noah. It's just that he was still a child and barely cared about it. Luke and Aina, though, could guess that Noah was someone who had gained the fortune to reincarnate from death. These kinds of situations were rare but still occurred. But what they thought was that he was still an expert of their world while he was actually from Earth. What shocked Noah was that although they knew this

  • Path of a Monarch   Techniques in Another World

Noah walked around the house of Norton with curiosity. The style of this world was a bit similar to his former world but he attributed that to the fact that the species living in both worlds were humans. As he walked his brows slightly rose and he shifted his position to the side. This action caused the figure behind him to grasp at nothing, causing the person to fall to the ground."Tch." The person rubbed his forehead as he clicked his tongue. The boy appeared to be the same age as him - 11 years of age. He was Leonel Norton, the genius son of Luke and his wife, Aina. Unlike Noah, who had reincarnated with the memories of a 26 year-old man, Leon naturally possessed the characteristics children his age should have- a wild and unrestrained personality."Your mastery with the Crouching Tiger Breathing Art hasn't increased much." Noah glanced at the boy with an indifferent attitude but there was also a trace of helplessness within his eyes. This game of theirs was forced onto him by the

  • Path of a Monarch   Reincarnation

The sun's bright light passed through the window of a room to illuminate the fragile face of a young boy. His silver colored hair seemed to glow as its brilliance was enhanced by the light. The light caused the boy to sit up abruptly with a dumbfounded expression. He surveyed his surroundings with his expression getting more and more perplexed by the second. 'I'm supposed to be dead!'It was at this moment that a terrible headache assaulted him. Memories that weren't his rose up within his brain in a vivid but obscured way. Noah's eyes widened in shock as he looked down to realize that this wasn't his body! He was supposed to be a 28 years old man but the body he now possessed could barely pass off as 10. And if the memories shown to him were to be trusted, the current him was a malnourished 11 years old boy.He had reincarnated! He had actually reincarnated!!!Still, as a veteran soldier with experience and a formidable mind, he quickly calmed and adapted himself to the situation. H
