"Sally, someone is here to see you", I heard my mother's voice from outside the room, or should I say my adopted mother.

I owe my life and everything I became to my adopted family, I was only six years old when our pack was invaded by one of the most powerful packs. They slaughtered every single soul and spared not a single one of my pack members.

I was lucky to have gone to the neighboring pack with my friends to play, My parents had warned me severally not to leave the house without guards and they had also warned against playing outside the pack or going out with friends, I didn't know if I should be grateful for being strong headed and sneaking out of the house. On my return, I met the whole of the Vikings pack in chaos. I didn't think twice before finding my way into the forest where I wandered for days before being rescued by a beta family, they had loved and raised me till I became a full-grown woman, even at age twenty-one as I currently am, I am still treated like their baby, I was the baby of the house, they didn't have any other child after me, they only had a son before me who was five years older than I was.

"Sally!" I heard my mom's voice again in a louder tone and ran outside to see for myself, the important visitor that had come to see me.

"Yes Mom", I replied calmly as I entered the sitting room.

"See who is here", she said with a smile and I turned around to see my friend Hayden seated comfortably on the couch.

"Hayden!" I screamed at the top of my voice and rushed to hug her. 

Hayden was the only friend I had, the death of my pack made me grow cold, the only people I interacted with were my parents and of course my best friend Hayden.

"What brings you here?" I asked, I took my seat and helped Hayden seat beside me.

"I will be in my room, you guys have fun", mom said and made to leave.

"No Mom, we would leave instead", Hayden replied facing Mom. "And you.." She started grabbing my arm "I want us to have some girlie private discussion", she said wearing a naughty smile. "In your room, please", she whispered calmly.

"Okay then", I replied with a smile and the both of us walked to my room. I made sure to lock the door properly, my ear was itching to hear the news Hayden had brought. Sometimes I called her a newscaster, she always had exciting news to share whenever she visited, and if it was to be done in my room, then it was something nicer.

Dad had traveled for a business trip and would be back in a week, if he was around he would have insisted we had our girlie talk in the sitting room, or nowhere else, he doesn't like it when we were being secretive.

"So what's the issue?" I asked excitedly as we took our seats on the bed.

"There's a rumor going on in the whole of Moonlight Pack", 

"Tell me", I said excitedly.

"The alpha of the moonlight pack is coming to marry you", she said quickly excitement is written all over her face.

I stared at her suspiciously, I didn't have many reasons to doubt Hayden, she was the cousin sister to Alpha Lucas of the moonlight pack. Plus I was extraordinarily beautiful, I am endowed with beauty by the moon goddess, I had the perfect figure, blond hair, very white skin, and dark grey eyes. Also, I was one of the most powerful women around, I wasn't just a werewolf I was the only daughter to my late father, I was Alpha Alex's heir and the heir to the Vikings pack, I was to be their FEMALE ALPHA.

The alpha blood still runs in my blood and I was extraordinarily powerful. I was loved by everyone in the Moonlight pack even though I was not a member, the beta family who adopted me were not the only ones who loved me, everyone else did. 

I was the dream of every man, my beauty and charming smile were one thing that captured every man's heart, even my adopted brother had a crush on me.

"Are you not going to say anything about it?" She asked snapping her fingers at my face.

"Who said that to you?" I asked her forcing a straight face, I wouldn't deny that I also felt something for the charming, well-built, soft-hearted alpha as well. His voice when he spoke made my heart flutter, it sounded like a beautiful love song in my ears, his voice was so thick and romantic.

Although I haven't talked to the alpha directly, I have heard his voice from a distance, I have also been admiring the alpha from a distance.

"Who else? Is he, not my cousin? I heard so from his mouth. He spilled words to his father and his mother so I overheard them", she said excitedly and my mouth went wide open.

"So tell me", I added excitedly. "When is he coming to do the necessary stuff? Who else knows about this?" I asked with a grin on my face.

"You like my brother right?" She asked also smiling.

"Does it matter? Answer my question first", I replied.

"Everyone in moonlight has heard it, although it's still a rumor, it has not been made known to them... He has not said it to anyone apart from father and mother, the rumor was spread by those nosy and big-mouthed domestic staff who overheard him telling it to mother and father".

"If this isn't true then the whole of the moonlight pack wouldn't contain the both of us", I said staring at her suspiciously.

"Have I ever given you fake news? I need some orange juice please, where can I get one?" She asked as she stood up and walked over to the fridge, I didn't respond to her question, I was overshadowed by excitement.

I heard the sound of the fridge handle turning, and I also heard the fridge open gently, Hayden asked another question but I didn't hear her because I was busy smiling like a complete idiot.

I found myself smiling the whole time, I couldn't help the blush anymore, it was written all over me.

I heard a sharp knock on the door bringing me quickly out of my dream world to reality. Immediately the happiness I felt disappeared, everything happiness vanished from my whole system within split seconds, at that moment, I wasn't supposed to be excited at all.
