Chapter 6. We Are Engaged

Shane and I go back together in the Philippines even though we want to spend more time with each other there but our work and schedule are piling up right now. When I came back to my office my parents called for a meeting for our company’s anniversary celebration. We decided to guest some artists for entertainment and of course I invited my girlfriend Shane to be one of the guests. Shane is well known to everyone, it can also help our company. My parents arranged a dinner with Shane’s family and that night we informed them that we are already engaged.

“Mom,Dad,Tito,Tita, we have a special announcement to make.” I held Shane's hand and we stood together.

“We are engaged.”

They’re all in shock, especially my mother. She didn't like the news we shared with them.

“Engaged? So..you’re planning to get married anytime soon?” Mom said with a serious face.

Shane and I understand that my mother opposes our decision but we already made up our mind and there’s nothing she can do about it.

“Yes Mo
