47- Leonidas

Now, few hours away from midnight Leonidas slowly ate his soup, sitting on the porch at the backyard, watching her still drawing. The sky rumbled as lightning struck somewhere, the wind becoming increasingly violent.

He stopped and stood, "Persephone. Please, it is about to rain. Could you come in?"

She did not reply.

Leonidas knew that she would not but it did not mean he should not try. He turned around to return back inside but paused.

He could not leave her there.

She had not eaten for a week now and a cold would make her sick.

And so, he fought the urge to run away and walked to her.

When he reached the circle, he stared at it, wondering what she would do if he got too close but he eventually pushed the thought out of his head and crossed over.

The whole place was dark since it was night but he could make out the outline of what she was drawing and it made his stomach turn.

Demons tormenting people in ways that he did not want to think twice on.

Was this what she was seeing?
