Michael’s point of View

I got dressed and grabbed a few things out of my closet, shoving them in a bag and slung it over my shoulder. I walked over to Ella, fast asleep, laying peacefully in my bed and bent down, kissing her forehead.

I made a mistake. A big mistake.

I shouldn’t have asked her to marry me. Yes, of course, I meant it, I meant every word, and I had been planning on asking her, but... Now that I had and she had agreed, I just.. Couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt. Of cheating on her when we were in Texas, of making her live with the fact she KNEW what I did, and that I couldn’t stop, she didn’t deserve that.

She didn’t deserve a murderer.

… But I wasn’t strong enough to stop. I didn’t want to stop. It was who I was.

‘I love you, and I always will,’ I whispered in her ear, kissing her again before I headed out of the room, closing the door quietly behind myself.
