Love’s Point of View

The very loud and very annoying buzz of my alarm clock woke me up. I slowly opened just one of my eyes to reach out and grab it, turning it off and then groaned in happiness as I rolled over and hooked my arm over, expecting to find my boyfriend, but he wasn’t there.

I’d love to say this wasn’t a common occurrence, but unfortunately, it was. He was rarely here when I woke up. He would be there when I go to sleep, he would be there if I woke up in the night for the toilet or to get a glass of water, but by the time the sun comes up, he’d be gone. Admittedly, sometimes it was because he had work, but even on days I know he doesn’t, he’s never normally here in the morning.
