Ethan's POV

I was finally back to New York after five years of being away to study.

It had been a very long time and I missed home, I missed mom and dad.

I was standing at the airport searching for Tristan, I had called him and told him I was here already, he offered to pick me up after mom and dad told him I was coming back.

I quickly spotted him from where I stood, his blonde hair is not really hard to spot, as I started walking through the crowds he had already seen me too and his face broke into a smile, showing his dimples.

I got to him and he just crushed me in a hug "welcome back bro" he said letting go off me.

I smiled at him, looking him over "it's good to be back"

He took my bags and I helped him in putting it in the trunk of his car before we both climbed in and he zoomed off, nothing really changed about home.

It still pretty much looked the same, we both dived into conversation, him telling me about the office and how things had been going and I telling him about school and how much Seattle was quite different from New York.

I asked about Aunt Anna and Uncle Tony, and he told me they were fine, Aunt Anna was currently in California with Rhys and Elaine.

I heard what happened to Trish and I feel bad for Rhys, he lost his wife and unborn child.

Its been three months and I heard he's getting better at handling it.

In all of this I haven't asked about one person and I didn't want to ask about her, especially not from Tristan.

She had been on my mind since I decided to come home, that little girl that always haunted my sleep and thoughts.

I know she must have changed and looked very different now, I can't help but feel this eagerness to see her, it's been five years already.

We got to our house and Tristan helped me unload the truck with my stuff and took them inside.

The house still looked the same, I entered and I was greeted by Mom's famous hugs, crushing me tightly.

I just laughed while trying to breath "oh my baby, I've missed you so much" she said kissing my cheek, she looked like she's about to cry.

She let's go off me and takes a double take on me "have you been eating properly? You look thin, you've grown taller than the last time we saw you" she rushed out with a smile.

"Mom it's been five years and you still treat me like a kid" I say laughing at her dotting attitude

"You'll always be my little baby boy" she said pinching my cheeks, we hear throat clearing and I look up to find dad staring at both of us with his brow raised before his face breaks into a smile.

"Dad" I say walking over to give him a hug, I have missed him so much

"Son, welcome home" he says with a light laugh as he taps my back "how was Seattle and your journey"? He asks after I let him go

"It was fine dad" I say with a smile

"I'm beginning to think I'm invincible" the annoying voice of Tristan breaks our little conversation, he's like uncle Samuel, always joking around, mom just smacks his arm lightly making him laugh.

"Tristan, how are you doing"? Dad asks him giving him a pat on the shoulder

"I'm fine uncle" he says with a smile

I suddenly notice one person is missing, I didn't tell her I was coming back but I'm sure Mom and Dad did, or Tristan.

I look around, but no sign of her, if she were home she'd have run out already, probably to play the loving sister to me.

As if Mom could sense my thoughts she quickly spoke up "Tristan before I forget, Ava said she had a few emergencies to handle at the office, said if you came back and she wasn't back yet I should tell you"

He just nods "okay Aunty, maybe I'll stop by the office to see her"

Tristan has always been close to Ava and I never had a problem with it, I mean he's kind of like her cousin too.

Mom went into the kitchen, while Dad and I did all little catching up, Tristan left immediately so he could catch up with Ava.

Making me wonder if she left purposely so she wouldn't see me, I just shake my head and go back to talking to Dad.

When I said Ava had changed, I never expected what I was seeing in front of me right now.

I never expected to see a woman, a woman so fucking beautiful one could get a hard on just thinking about her beauty.

Her skin so flawless and her dark, straight hair running down her back, her brown eyes so fucking captivating.

And fuck me, her voice was something else, her curves were so prominent and obvious it would be hard to hide them even if she wore extremely big clothes to hide them.

Ava had changed but not in the way that I expected, she looked more beautiful than she was five years ago, she looked more mature and she sounded mature.

Since she came home, I've been finding it hard to concentrate and not look at her, I can see she's been nervous.

Good she still feared me and I still had that effect on her, she came immediately we finished lunch.

She didn't look surprised to see me, I guess Tristan already told her I was home, as usual I didn't show her I was affected by her, I gave her the cold shoulder.

If not for Mom and Dad sitting here, I'm pretty sure I would have already said something hurtful to her.

I don't like how she always acted so nice and kind, trying to act like she's actually my sister.

I always made sure to let her know, she is not and will never be my sister.

I was currently sitting on the bedside table in her room waiting for her to come in.

It's been five years and I have missed taunting her.

The door open and she walked in, she closed the door not even noticing I was there, the room was a bit dark tho.

She switched on the lights and turned around and she almost jumped on seeing me sitting down.

"Wh.... What are you doing Ethan"? She asked with a stutter, I still made her nervous, good, I smirked at myself.

I stood up and started walking towards her "I see you still haven't changed, still trying so hard to be a part of this family" I had already gotten close to her now.

"I don't know what you're talking about, you should leave, mom and dad shouldn't see you here" she said looking anywhere but me.

That just ticks me off, the fact that she called my parents mom and dad, as if they were hers.

"Don't call them that, they're my parents and not yours, how many times do you want me to tell you that"? I asked bending down so I'm eye level with her.

She just turns her head sideways, I can tell what I just said hurt her but that's the truth, the earlier she realizes it the better

" I just came to warn you to stay out of my way now that I'm back, I'd hate to do anything out of the ordinary" I told her dangerously low, before shoving past her and walking out the door.

I headed to my room with a smirk on my face, something tells me I'm going to enjoy my stay at home.
