"Vaz, can we talk?" I read the text message from my ex Chloe. I shake my head.

Likewise, I felt cold and disgusted at the message from Chloe, my ex-girlfriend who allowed me to be fooled and seduced by my older brother.

I have only gone for a moment because I went on a school field trip. And as I came home I caught my brother and girlfriend doing something lewd!

I trusted Chloe but I can't trust Harrison. I know he seduced my girlfriend. That's not surprised me though. Then now Chloe is forcing me to talk to her! After she destroyed my trust, she would still have the guts to face me, so she could talk. What does she think she should explain?

TSK, they're both disgusting!

I have already focused my attention on driving.

I was about to put down my cellphone when it vibrated. The name of my stepsister Amber pops up on my phone.

Why was shebeen calling? It's surprising.

I immediately swipe the screen to answer her call.

"Vaz, help us! Your Dad and Mom are being beaten by Harrison. Please help us." Amber said crying.

"What? What is happening there?"

I heard a loud thud and Amber's voice diminished. Her phone seemed to pop out, fortunately, the call was not interrupted.

I heard Harrison laugh on the line.

"You're just here. You're still hiding. I know every corner of the house! Do you think you can escape me, my dear stepsister? Come here!" I heard Harrison said.

Damn!

I immediately accelerated my car to reach the mansion!

Amber, I'll be home soon, hold on!

Harrison you evil! What are you doing?!

I could even hear Amber's constant coughing on the line as if she's choking.

I quickly reached the mansion, entered my car through the big gate. When I got out of my car, I ran and hurried through the big door of the house. The strength of my chest pounding makes me hard to breathe.

There were no helpers because all I knew was they were sent home for Christmas and new year. It is our custom to send the workers of the mansion home every Christmas and New Year so that they can be with their families on holidays.

I immediately went to another living room when I noticed that no one was at the entrance.

I heard every step and my heartbeat. Not only that, but I feel so nervous.

As I entered the large door of another living room, I was surprised to find that Amber and Aunt, tied to the chair, both with their mouths covered, opened up to me. In the other corner is Harrison forcing Dad to sign a paper.

"What the hell are you doing Harrison!" I shouted at my brother, so his attention was turned to me.

Harry pointed his gun straight at me. "The favorite son is here." He said furrowed his forehead.

"For Pete's sake, Harry. That's our father. We're family, why are you treating them like that ?!" I shouted at him as I step closer. I had to release Amber and Aunt, especially Dad.

"Stop right there Vaz. Aren't you still getting it? I want to have the rightful wealth I've worked so hard for!" Harry smirked.

"Just because of wealth and heritage makes you like that Harry?" I said in despair and disappointment.

"Haha, since you're a favorite that's why you don't understand. Don't you know that almost everything, written in Dad's will, it's all in your name! I worked hard on our business and company to rise and profit big. But hurts me knowing that Dad will almost leave the wealth all for you, I worked for our businesses and all you did was seeking pleasure, playing with girls, and spending money on nonsense things! I already killed Mom to lessen the burden. Then now someone else will share with me the wealth I'm working hard to get! " Harry shouted pointing the gun at Amber.

Was he involved in Mom’s death? What the hell !?

"Son, Harry, let me speak. Son, so I left the bigger amount and part to Vaz because I know he won't leave and take good care of your Aunt and Amber. I know you can grow what I left you, son. You know to take risks and keep up with the big businessmen and your brother is still young and has no experience in adventure in business. Son, I'm proud of you and I believe you will grow even more soon that's why I left Vaz a bigger part than you. I hope you understand. " Dad's long explanation.

Harry just shook his head and didn't want to listen.

"No, I want to have what is rightfully mine. Now, keep it up, or I'll kill this mother, daughter, and your favorite son! I'll take what is rightfully mine, and I'll take everything from your favorite son!" Harry said full of hatred.

I ran over to Amber and Aunt.

"Stop this Harry! Please, he is our dad. We are Family." I feel sorry for him, but he is getting further for the wealth he wanted!

Dad didn't want to sign Harry's documents. So my brother got even angrier.

"It's just like this. Maybe I'll just kill you all so that all the wealth of this family will be transferred to me! Haha." Harrison laughed and pointed to the gun he was holding pulling the trigger.

I hug Amber when a loud gunshot rang inside the mansion!

I closed my eyes.
