When I got back to Sin Pack, I immediately went to Rowen.

This time I wasn't going to play dumb with him; I was going to ask him directly about Xavier's mission.

And, persuade him to let me participate in this mission.

From the conversation I heard at the hospital, Xavier had been hesitant to really pull me into this, while Rowen was the one who picked me from the start.

I finally stopped holding a grudge against Rowen for trying to use me and thanked him for it. If he hadn't had the good sense to pick me, I wouldn't have gotten the special attention from Xavier and would have been starved to death not long after I joined Sin Pack.

I looked at Sin Pack after a year's absence, and I remembered every road in my mind, especially the one leading to the infirmary, which I could feel with my eyes closed.

However, when I walked into the infirmary, the person sitting with his back to me immediately looked back at me just as I entered the threshold. It was an unfamiliar face; he was not Rowen.
