Suddenly Feeling Scared

POV: Heather

“How is she, why won’t she come along with you?” I asked him the moment he picked up my call. Alexia was busy checking around the house, searching for explosives or something. She did not see me going through my phone, but when she heard my voice she looked up immediately and she came running towards me, looking so shocked.

“What the hell are you doing?” She yelled at me, trying to snatch my phone from me, but I put out my hand, stopping her from reaching for my phone. I gave her a look that said,

“Calm down, I know what I’m doing.” She seemed to get the point, and she stood still, folding her hands on her chest. She did not try to take my phone again, but I could tell that she was still not comfortable with my decision. I ignored her and kept talking to Leon, telling him how grateful I was that he chose to look out for me. He was never this nice to me, I wonder what I did to make him like me this much.
