25: Rest Day
THEY are now in front of Dr. Conrad’s cabin because they will leave their cars here. They had to walk to the river. So now Jax is carrying a cooler where they have their drinks and food stored. Dione, on the other hand, was carrying a hamper basket in which they placed other foods.
“I’m sorry, everyone. I can’t go with you, today. I have some important things to do that I need to test out sooner. But Peter can go with you today,” Dr. Conrad said, apologetically.
“No, I want to—” Peter was about to complain.
“No, come with them, Peter. And at least enjoy for a day. You are always there for me,” Dr. Conrad said to Peter, smiling. And Peter didn’t complain after that.
“I guess we’re set to go. While it’s still morning, so move, move!” Baron shouted, energizing the group.
