Chapter 93

Atasha's POV

I watched as Conrad knelt in front of Alison, filled with guilt evident in his tone.

"I'm sorry," he uttered, his voice laced with remorse.

Alison continued to cry, so Asher pulled her into a tight hug and glanced at his father.

"You always let us down, Dad. Uncle Sebastian is a better father than you. He made time for Alison's recital, even though he was busy treating sick people. I wish he were our Dad, not you," Asher said, his gaze fixed on Conrad.

"Asher, don't speak to your father like that," I firmly interjected.

Asher fell silent, taking deep breaths to calm himself.

"It's fine, Atasha," Conrad assured me, forcing a smile on his lips.

Conrad attempted to hold Alison and Asher's hands, but they kept removing his grasp, distancing themselves from him.

Conrad let out a deep breath, tears glistening in his eyes.

He swallowed hard and forced another smile.
