Ariel POV

The drive to the company was filled with awkward silence, and I was looking forward to getting to the office so I can leave his car, but remembering we will be in the same office for the rest of the day, I feel like disappearing into thin air because I feel so embarrassed.

"But he just told you he can't remember anything that happened yesterday night," My subconscious mind reminds me, and even if I want to be relaxed, something keeps whispering to me that he was just pulling my legs. How didn't he recall what happened yesterday? I know werewolves with strong wolves always have a high tolerance for alcohol, so it means that he lied to me.

"Just pretend it didn't happen, and you'll be fine," I whisper to myself before I look out of the window.

We finally arrive at the company later, and we head to the office. I feel my heart crawling up my chest, and almost in my throat. I know it's my imagination, but that is how I feel.
