Chapter 25
The doorbell rang repeatedly and Jessica quickly went to the front door to open it. Everybody was still asleep since it’s just eight in the morning and she didn't want them waking up just yet, especially the lad so even if she's emotionally tired, she got up and opened the door.
She was met by a bouquet of roses and a paper bag with a familiar food chain logo on it.
"Elijah? What're you doin' here?" Jessica asked in her morning voice.

The married couple drove silently to the road, on their way to an exclusive house to attend a party. Jessica had been telling the lad about it a couple of times this week now and tonight was the night she was talking about. Philip didn't want to go obviously, but because of the brunette's puppy eyes and kisses, she finally convinced him to come.Jessica looked at her husband, who was focused on the road to even notice her staring at him. She didn't know why he was quiet but he didn't seem to be pissed or upset like usual. They haven't been fighting lately as well so her silence really worried the lad.

Jessica woke up with a terrible headache the next day. Her vision was still blurry and she feels like she's about to throw up anytime. Which she did, a few seconds after.
