Chapter 12

Izariah-

Surprisingly, I managed to avoid running into anyone for the rest of the day, which was until the next day during the class, where I had been forced to sit between Braxton and Jace on the first day. When I walked into the class, I didn’t see any of the members of the Ace of Clubs. It made me wonder if they weren’t going to be in class today.

Heading up to the row of seats that I sit in, I kept my gaze low, because by now everyone was whispering about what happened to me yesterday. Reaching my row, I made my way toward my seat and before I could sit down, someone jumped over the back row and right into the seat I was supposed to sit in.

Looking up, I gasped when I saw that it was Jace. He didn’t say anything to me, nor did he look at me. His eyes were focused on the front of the class.

“I...” I tried to speak but was quickly cut off when Braxton arrived on the other side of Jace.

“That is her seat.” He said in a low tone, but there was a hint of a growl mixed in it.
