Chapter 34

When I arrived at the party the next day, I felt completely out of place. I hadn’t seen Jace yet and I kept getting stares from everyone else. The only reason I even decided to come here was that I was told that Jace wanted me to come.

“Why is she here?” I heard someone ask, but I didn’t look to see who said it.

“Maybe she is here as the maid or to serve us. That is the only thing that would make sense.” Another person said with a snicker.

I wanted to turn around and leave, only because I had been under the impression that this would only be a small gathering. It wasn’t like he specified, so it was my fault for not thinking that a party to them was nothing compared to the parties I have been to. There had to be at least three hundred or more.

The house was flooded and so was the front and back yard. That was saying a lot since this house was humongous. I could fit my entire pack inside this house and still have room for the neighboring pack.
