Nigel’s strong arms supported her as he put her back on the ground. His sly smile remained on his face as he said, “Just because I had said that you wanted to seduce Shaw on the cruise and didn’t come to your rescue, you’ve started to hate me?”

“I did not,” Sabrina said bluntly.

She really didn’t.

What relationship did she even have with Nigel?

Why would she hate him? Sabrina was someone who analysed everything.

“Country girl! Let me just say, you had money in your eyes that day. You were the one who allowed yourself to be toyed with by everyone. No one could’ve saved you. If I had, I’d have made myself the enemy of every rich kid in South City.”

Nigel spoke directly in Sabrina’s face without a shred of compassion.

“Other than my cousin Sebastian, no one could have saved you. Furthermore, it was only a game. As per your own agreement with Mindy, she would have given you that money in the end. You have no right to feel as if you’ve been wronged.”
