Over The Rainbow

El hampir tersentak kaget saat earphone itu tahu-tahu sudah menempel di telinganya. El menoleh pada gadis yang sedang berbaring di sebelahnya, di atas rerumputan, di bawah langit yang sama dengannya. Gadis itu tersenyum manis sekali dengan cd player di tangannya. El bisa melihat sebelah earphone yang lain menempel di telinga kirinya.

“Mau dengerin lagu bagus?”

“Lagu apa?”

“Lagu tentang sebuah tempat untuk dirimu sendiri. A place where you won’t get into any trouble.”

Kening El berkerut. “Memangnya ada tempat semacam itu?”

“There must be. It’s not place you can’t get to by a boat, or a train. It’s far, far away. Behind the moon, beyond the rain[1].”

El menunggu sebentar sampai musik itu mengalun lembut ke telinganya.
