Chapter 1

*Bairavi Pov*

“You are destined to be the Queen of this Kingdom, Princess.” I listened to my Father, the king of Agatha.

“We both have the belief in you.” My Mother, the Queen uttered with a smile on her beautiful face.

“You earned the place.” They both uttered before disappearing into the mist.

“No!” I wailed cracking my eyes open only to see myself in an unknown place.

“Where am I?” I asked outloud gazing at the massive chamber and heard a door opening with a shrilling sound.

“Finally the Princess is awake.” I heard the evil voice and glanced at the person to only feel my blood boiling.

“You took their life away.” I threw the words at him getting down from the bed and he has a satisfactory smile on his face.

“You remember me then, Princess.” He uttered with arrogance.

“They were my parents. How could you assassinate them?” I questioned with rage stepping towards him.

“It was in your King and Queen’s hands. I desired for their kingdom and asked for your hand in matrimony, but they declined.” He has spoken with a shake of his head.

“Who are you?” I asked, not understanding his works.

“I am Ramsey, the King of Palmer.” He replied with a smug look.

“You murdered them for a kingdom? You could have cried out a war on us.” I mumbled, looking around for a way to escape from here.

“I am not shortsighted to cry a war on the strongest Kingdom on the earth and lose my Kingdom to them. Now we both will get tied in the matrimony and I will be the king of your Kingdom.” He goaded making me want to take his life away right now.

“I will not accept to that.” I said shaking with complete rage.

“You have to. You are my slave, Princess and you need to follow every command I give you.” He retorted and started stepping towards the door.

When he opened it, I saw the guards standing near the door completely armed. I rushed behind him and dragged the sword from the soldier before pointing it at the back of Ramsey.

“Now, release me from your Kingdom or lose your life.” I commanded him.

“Princess, Princess! You can’t take your betrothed life away.” He uttered turning around, but I didn’t lose the grip on the sword.

“I will take your life away even if it ends with my life being taken away after that.” I said before moving the sword to slash his neck.

But before I can do it, I was pushed aside causing the sword marking somewhere else. I was still pressed to the wall by two soldiers, but my eyes searched for his wounded body.

“My future Queen knows how to hold a sword, but alas do not know how to use it.” I heard my Parents’ slaughterer voice.

“You will be executed in my hands.” I threatened him when I was being dragged inside the chamber by the soldiers.

“How did she get a hold on your Sword?” He questioned one soldier while I can see the soldier still having a dumbstruck look on his face.

“I do not know, your highness.” He stuttered and I still tried to get loose from the soldiers hold.

“You are my Slave, Princess Bairavi. You became one when I took you here to my Kingdom Palmer after slaughtering your parents. Until you take my life you will be bound to be my slave even after becoming my Queen.” Ramsey seethed the words holding his palm on his shoulder where I actually wounded him.

“I am not a Slave.” I seethed back before the door got closed, leaving me alone in this chamber.

“I really enjoy these evening strolls with you both.” I said smiling at both of them.

“We would give anything our Daughter wishes for. And if it is for me to spend the little time with you leaving the duties, then we would.” Father said patting my wrist which was on his crook of hand.

“And soon our Daughter would become the Queen with a lot of responsibilities for ruling and the Matrimony of her to a suitable person. You would be all busy so we will not miss this for anything.” Mother said and I smiled at her.

“Well, Well, what a beautiful site infront of my eyes.” I heard an evil and unfamiliar tone and glanced up to see some soldiers of different Kingdom along with our minister walking towards us and are very near.

“You traitor!” Father shouted at our minister and immediately got slit through his neck before we could blink.

“Father!” I shouted holding him before he could fall on the floor.

“Mother!” I called for her and turned to see her throwing her dagger at our minister making him collapse.

“Nice throw!” The main man between the soldiers shouted before pushing his sword into her heart making my breath speed up.

“Mother!” I called her while she just collapsed with no life left in her.

“Bairavi!” I heard my Father calling me in a whisper.

“Father! I will save you.” I mumbled holding his hand and cried out for help but no one is there around us which must be the step by the minister.

“This Kingdom needs you, Princess. Our people need you. Be strong for them and don’t worry about us. We both love you.” He whispered before I saw him losing his life completely.

“No!” I screamed for both of them and then suddenly felt a blossom being put near my nostrils, making me breath into it.

“Let’s just hope you will not die with this floret’s power.” I heard a sinister voice before I lost my conscience.

I let the tears flow for now thinking about them, but I will take avenge for my Parents’ death. I will tear his life out of him with his eyes open seeing himself what is happening to him.

I will take your life, Ramsey and it is my pledge to you.
