Chapter 2

*Bhairavi Pov*

“Princess! His highness will have my head if you don’t have the eatables.” The maid uttered in a whisper and I glanced up to watch her having fear on her face.

“Apprise him that I had the nourishment.” I mumbled in a low tone saving the strength I may need soon.

“Getting my maids to lie to me now I see.” We heard the evil voice and glanced at the door to see him walking inside.

“I do not want any meals from you.” I mumbled leaning back still lying on the bed.

“Your future king have a devastating news and an exceptional news.” He said gesturing the maid to leave.

“You are not my future king. You are not at all a King and you don’t deserve to be one. If it is not for your royal lineage then you would have been better at guarding the cattle barns.” I spatted at him breathing heavily.

“Why would you say that, Princess?” He asked in a mocking tone.

“You couldn’t defeat a King of your father’s age in a right way, but did it with the help of backstabbing. Even now after being successful in that you are unable to take my kingdom in your wing.” I replied and sighed with the weakness enveloping me.

But able to utter “People’s ruler is the real ruler.”

“That is why you are still breathing, Princess as your people rejected me as their King and want to go individual if there is no you. After we both get to tie the knot, I will be the rightful King of Agatha. And then the King and Queen live happily ever after. Isn’t it right, my slave?” He uttered with arrogance and confidence.

“Keeping that aside, we actually found a traitor in our Kingdom who is here to kill me and take you back to Agatha.” He said in an unhumorous tone.

Hearing his words a new hope entered my flesh making me give him a satisfactory smile to which he gave a sinister smile.

“And we caught him today.” I felt the new hope wavering hearing those words, but I didn’t let it show to him.

“You just caught a single person, Ramsey.” The words spilled out themselves after thinking about the situation.

“What do you mean, Princess?” he questioned with a frown.

“There will be many more in your Kingdom like him. You can be attacked from anywhere. You will be walking in the corridors and can suddenly get stabbed in your heart. You will be drinking your spirit, but something can be added to it before it touches your lips. You will be having the meal which can have an abundance of poison in it. Anything can happen at any time.” I uttered and with each word I gave him a smile with confidence while his confident smile slipped away and he threw the meals away after releasing a scream of frustration.

“I will have all the soldiers around me all the time and about meals I know what I can do to save my life.” He suddenly uttered with a smirk and called for the maid who has been serving the meals for me for the past seven days.

“She needs to be taken to the dungeon, but no one should know that she is the Princess. I can see that she is not acknowledging the kindness I am showing to her.” He ordered the maid and she nodded to his words.

“And she will be made to have the meals first before anyone in this Kingdom. This news must me passed to the main places in the Kingdom.” He added making me give him a frown.

“Yes, your highness.” She said walking towards me.

“The four guards who already know her will be watching her from escaping the dungeon.” He ordered before walking towards the door.

“I will not have the meals. What will you do then?” I spatted at him.

“Then the man we found will be tortured to death infront of your eyes. He is one of the people in your Kingdom right, Princess. Don’t you want to save him?” He questioned before leaving the chamber.

“Princess?” The maid called.

“Let me go to my Kingdom and no one has to know about you helping me.” I said with a plead in it.

“Bhairavi needs to be taken to the dungeon.” She called for the guards utilizing my name to gesture me leaving my title.

I stared ahead when I was continued to drag along the path of the dungeon but stopped when I heard someone calling me.

“Yes?” I asked the man who called me with my title.

“I apologize for not being able to save you, Princess.” He replied looking down.

“Don’t be!” I said shaking my head.

“If you get a chance to return to our Kingdom then tell our people that I will return to them after taking the life out of Ramsey. I will not fail my promise and if I did then I must have lost my life.” I mumbled before I was dragged forcefully to the corner part of the dungeon inside the cell.

“You need to eat this.” Maid said placing the food before me.

“If not, then that man will be dead as per his highness.” She added before stepping back.

I can see that she is guilty about all all this, but I shook my head mumbling “You are just being loyal to your King.”

I took the bread and started to have the meals thinking about a way to somehow release myself from here. But before that he needs to be sent to hell.

*Unknown Pov*

“How did the quest ended?” I asked the men infront of me.

“We made it through by sending five members inside.” One guy replied making me nod at him.

“Did they go prepared with everything they need inside the Kingdom?” I questioned the other.

“Yes! They even got the liquid which they have to mix in the meals of everyone with them in the castle’s food.” I got a favorable reply.

“Tomorrow after the sunset we attack them and get that Ramsey down from his throne.” I ordered to which they all nodded.

“We need all the rest until then. Dream about our victory we will achieve tomorrow and devastation of Ramsey.” I shouted and they all screamed in a joy of future victory before walking towards their tents.

“Tomorrow there will be no obstacles for our goal and then we all will have a peaceful life with no complications.” I mumbled staring at the long walls of the Kingdom which are at my site before drifting off into sleep with an anticipation of tomorrow’s victory.
