In the park Landon sat lost for words. The moment he introduced himself Tessa ran away. Something about him scared her and that makes him sad. She is the sole reason he left his hom to travel around.

Ever since that rainy night he pulled her out of that wreck he was sure she is the one he was looking for.

'you know she is our mate Landon. You felt it the moment you touched her' the voice of his cat said in his head.

Landon is a werecat. Trying to stay hidden as there are still hunter looking for them. Werewolfs came to the conclusion that werecats are a danger to there specie. Being able to move better and sometimes yield magic. Nevertheless it forced them into hiding and finding their mate almost impossible.

He saw the moment Tessa and her Family crashed and the red eyes circling the wreck. He moved fast and quick to rescue them but upon reaching he saw both her parents died. But she was still breathing. He pulled her out but had to shift to fight of whatever was coming for her. Luckily as a werecat you gave the ability to shift without shredding your clothes. He shifted back and picked her up and ran to the road as he saw lights coming. With no choice but to leave her there and keep the black shadows away from her. He never saw anything like this. He will have call his dad to ask if he found any information.

When they dissappeared into the darkness he ran to where he left Tessa. When he saw the ambulance he let out a sigh of relief. She will be safe now.

Still he never stayed too far away from her just incase she needs him again.

According to onyx my cat she is a shifter too. He can smell it but can't feel her presence. Sometimes the genes have to be triggered by being close to other shifters or being in danger.

'We have to be patient Onyx' Landon said.

'we can't force her, it will only scare her more. And we dobt know what she knows about the supernatural. We will stay close and ease our way in to let her trust us.'

Onyx let out a hiss and retreated back to his mind. Letting Landon know he is annoyed and Landon chuckles. That cat can really be moody sometimes.

Landon stood up and walked towards the forest. He was lucky to find a cabin not far into the forest for time being. The town makes him feel like he's trapped in a cage. And there he can let onyx out more without suspicion. They never wander far because the can smell other shifters just not as close to town and his cabin. He needs to be aware of his surroundings at all time. Being out of sight but still close enough to Tessa is his main priority now. Those shadows can make their appearance at anytime. As their beings are so mysterious one can never let your guard down. Luckily there pungent smell can be picked up from miles away. Not ever rogue wolves smell that bad.

Landon shivers at the thought of that smell. It is awful. And something he will never forget.

As he walked away deep in thought he missed a pair of eyes following him. Ruthlessness showing in them but it stayed in the shadows reluctant to confront him. He is an intruding shifter in this town.

He shall have eyes on him at all times until it is known if he is a danger to the pack or not. No one will endanger the life they built here to finally live in harmony with the humans in the town. It took centuries to get to where they are. Still hidden to the world but co-habitant here.

As he turns around he smells a sweet aroma. Something he can't place. He tries to follow it and came to stop at the hotel.

'Could it be? Did I find my mate?' he asked himself. Turning away fighting against his wolf to tear down that door and make her his. As he enters the forest he shift into his pure back wolf disappearing as fast as he could
