I walked into my office, ready for a briefing on the current state of the pack. I sat down at my desk and motioned for Thomas, my guard, to come forward.
"Thomas, what's the report on the pack?" I asked, my brow furrowed with concern.
"Unfortunately, things are not looking good, sir," Thomas replied solemnly. "The plague that's been spreading through the pack is getting worse. We've tried everything we can to contain it, but it's just getting worse."
I frowned, the weight of the situation settling heavily on my shoulders. "And what about the other packs? Have they reached out to offer any help?"
Thomas shook his head. "I'm afraid not. In fact, all the other packs have cut all connections with us because of the disease. They don't want to risk getting infected."
