I moved down the hall without making a sound.

The guest room door was not fully closed. A thin line of light showed at the edge. I stopped there and lifted my phone. The camera was already open. I pressed record and held it steady.

Inside, Maya sat on the edge of the bed in a thin robe. Adrian stood in front of her. He had taken off his shirt. His hands were on her shoulders.

“I thought about you all day,” he said in a low voice. “Standing next to her in that church. It drove me crazy.”

Maya smiled and pulled the robe open. “Then do something about it.”

He pushed her back onto the bed. The robe fell away. He kissed her neck, her chest, then lower. She made soft sounds and spread her legs for him. He unbuckled his pants and shoved them down. In one move he was inside her.

I kept the phone still. The screen showed everything. His body moving over hers. Her legs wrapped around him. The way he thrust deep and hard, the same way he used to with me.

“Fuck, Maya,” he groaned. “You feel so good. Better than her. Always better.”

She pulled his head down and kissed him. “Harder. She’s probably asleep already.”

He gave her harder. The bed made quiet noises under them. Her hands slid down his back. He held her hips and kept going, faster now. I watched every second. My stomach turned, but my hand stayed steady on the phone.

He talked while he fucked her.

“Two years of this. And she never knew. Tomorrow I start with the papers. Once she signs the first ones, the rest will be easy. Nexus will be mine.”

Maya laughed under him. “You’re evil.”

“I’m smart.”

He finished with a low sound and stayed on top of her for a moment, breathing hard. Then he pulled out and rolled to the side. Maya reached for a tissue on the nightstand. They spoke in soft voices for a few more minutes. I caught every word on the video.

When he stood up and started putting his clothes back on, I stopped the recording and stepped back into the dark hall. I moved quickly to the master bedroom and got under the covers. I closed my eyes and slowed my breathing.

The door opened a few minutes later. Soft steps came toward the bed. I felt him stand there looking at me. He waited. I did not move. After a while he let out a quiet breath and walked to the other side of the bed. The mattress dipped when he lay down. Soon his breathing turned deep and even. He was asleep.

I opened my eyes in the dark and stared at the ceiling. The phone was still in my hand under the pillow. The video was there. Clear proof. His voice. Her body. The plan about the papers.

I did not sleep much after that.

Morning light came through the curtains. Adrian woke first. He stretched and turned toward me.

“Morning, wife,” he said with a small smile. He leaned over and kissed my cheek. “Sleep well?”

I kept my voice soft. “Yes. You?”

“Like a rock. Long day yesterday.” He sat up and rubbed his face. “I need to go into the office later. Some documents came in that we should look at together. Nothing big. Just some company stuff. Tax things. You know how it is.”

I sat up slowly and looked at him.

“What kind of documents?”

He waved a hand. “Boring ones. I’ll explain when I bring them home. We can sign them after dinner. Easy.”

He stood and walked to the bathroom. The water started running. I stayed on the bed and opened my phone. The video was still there, saved and locked. I watched a few seconds of it again, just enough to hear his voice saying Nexus would be his.

He had no idea I already knew every step he planned to take.

I put the phone away when he came back out, towel around his waist.

“I’m going to shower properly and head out,” he said. “You should rest more. You looked tired last night.”

“I will.”

He dressed, kissed the top of my head, and left the room. I heard him speak to Rosa downstairs, then the front door closed.

I got out of bed and stood by the window. The city looked the same as every other morning. But nothing was the same.

I had the video.

I had the truth.

And he was already starting the plan that once destroyed me.

This time I would let him think he was winning.

Just long enough to take everything from him.

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 10: Inside

I could not stop seeing the photo. Adrian’s hand around Maya’s throat. The same grip. The same cold look in his eyes. It sat behind everything I did for the rest of the afternoon.I stayed in the bathroom longer than I needed to. The water ran hot over my shoulders while I stared at the tile wall. When I finally turned it off I wrapped a towel around myself and walked out.Adrian was waiting in the bedroom. He had taken off his shirt. His eyes moved over me the moment I appeared.“You took your time,” he said.I did not answer. I let the towel drop. He crossed the room and pulled me against him. His mouth found mine. The kiss was deep and hungry. His hands slid down my back and gripped my hips.“No more waiting,” he muttered.I pushed him toward the bed. He sat. I climbed onto his lap and straddled him. His cock was already hard between us. I reached down, guided him, and sank onto him slowly. He groaned. His hands tightened on my waist.I started to move. Slow. Steady. Up and down.

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 9: The Envelope

I read the message twice. Rooftop café on 5th. Tomorrow 2 p.m. Come alone if you want the rest of the proof.I did not answer. I locked the phone and went back to bed. Adrian was still turned toward the window. I lay beside him without touching and waited for morning. The next day I dressed simply. Dark jeans. White blouse. No jewelry. I told Rosa I had a long meeting at the company and left before Adrian could ask questions. The driver dropped me two streets away from the café. I walked the rest of the way.The rooftop was quiet. A few tables under white umbrellas. I chose one near the edge where I could see the door. At exactly two a woman walked in. Older than me. Maybe mid-fifties. Calm face. Gray streak in her hair. She carried a thin brown envelope. She sat across from me without smiling. “You’re Lila.”“Yes.”She placed the envelope on the table between us. “I used to work for his family. Years ago. I saw things. I kept quiet then. I’m not quiet anymore.”I did not reach for

I turned the phone off and slid the earring into the drawer of my nightstand. The video still played behind my eyes. Adrian’s voice. Maya’s soft cries. The way he had spoken about Nexus like it was already his.The bathroom door opened. I wiped my face quickly and sat on the edge of the bed as if nothing had happened. Adrian walked out with a towel around his waist. He looked at me for a second, then went to the closet without speaking.Morning came. He left early for a meeting. I stayed home until noon, moving through the rooms like a guest in my own house. Rosa asked if I wanted lunch. I told her I was not hungry. In the afternoon the front door opened sooner than I expected. Adrian’s footsteps came up the stairs fast. He found me in the bedroom folding a sweater. He closed the door behind him and turned the lock.“I couldn’t stop thinking about you,” he said.He crossed the room in three steps and pushed me back against the wall. His mouth covered mine hard. One hand gripped my wai

I stared at the message for a long time. The words sat on the screen like a knife. I did not reply. I saved the number under a blank name and locked the phone.Adrian came back from the shower a few minutes later. He walked into the living room naked, water still on his skin. He took my hand and pulled me upstairs without speaking. In bed he drew me against his chest and settled his hand over my breast. His breathing slowed. Soon he was asleep.I stayed awake. The ceiling looked the same as every other night, but nothing felt the same. The message kept turning in my head. Someone else knew. Someone who should not know.Morning came gray and quiet. Adrian was already dressed when I came downstairs. The black folder sat on the breakfast table. He pushed it toward me while Rosa poured coffee.“Any word from your lawyer?” he asked.“He needs two more days,” I said. My voice stayed soft. “He’s careful with these things.”Adrian watched me over the rim of his cup. The smile he gave me di

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 6 : The Morning Touch

I woke to the feel of Adrian pressed hard against my back. His arm was already around my waist. His mouth brushed the side of my neck.“Morning,” he whispered. His hand slid down and slipped between my legs. “I’ve missed this. Missed being inside you.”My body reacted before my mind could stop it. Heat spread low in my stomach. I let out a soft breath and pushed back against him just enough. His fingers moved slowly, teasing. He kissed my shoulder and pressed closer.“You’re already wet,” he murmured. “Let me have you.”I moaned quietly so he would believe it. His cock rubbed against me, thick and ready. He shifted, trying to push inside from behind. I waited until the head of him brushed my entrance, then reached back and stopped him.“My head still hurts too much,” I said. My voice was soft, almost sorry. “Not yet.”He froze. I felt the frustration in the way his hand tightened on my hip. For a second I thought he might ignore me. Then he let out a slow breath and pulled away.“Alri

  • REBORN TO RUIN HIM   Chapter 5: First Moves

After the front door closed I stayed by the window a little longer. Then I locked the bedroom door and sat on the bed with my phone. I opened the video and watched it again from the start. Adrian’s voice. Maya’s soft laughs. The clear words about the papers and Nexus. My stomach twisted, but I forced myself to finish it.I sent the file to two private cloud accounts I had never shared with anyone. Then I copied it onto a small USB drive I kept in an old jewelry box. When that was done I deleted the original from the phone and put the phone away.I dressed quickly and called my driver. “Take me to the Nexus building.”The morning traffic was light. At the office the security guard nodded when he saw me. I went straight to the legal floor and asked for Mr. Han. He had been my father’s lawyer for twenty years. Quiet man. Careful. Loyal. He stood when I entered his office. “Miss Lila. I didn’t expect you so soon after the wedding.”“I need a few things done today,” I said. “No one else
