ELARA'S POV.

It had been 6 days since the first ritual and today was the 7th day. Today would be the next full moon. I thought to myself.

The first ritual hadn't gone as expected. The way the divinator ran told me everything I needed to know. I could remember the feeling from that night, something dark was behind me. I remember him calling out to my shadow but I don't know what made him run away from me.

I didn't want to give it much thought, moreover, I hadn't even been feeling the bond as muc

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   More than a sacrifice

ELARA'S POVTears stung the corner of my eyes as I stood under the flower tree in the garden. I wondered what else was there that I had to find out.Beros had just given me a rundown of my whole life, my past life to be precise and I didn't know how to feel about it, the tears? They were falling on their own accord. My mind drifted back to what Beros had told me.There was a great war between the other deities and Nyxar, the deity of chaos, that was the one deity I had yet to read about. I wondered if reading about him first would have softened the blow of everything I had just found out today.Beros said during the way, I tried to fight Nyxar off because he wanted total control over the lives of all species, supernatural and humans alike, and I was heavily against it because Nyxar had set his sights upon my wolves, he wanted total control over all the wolves packs because he knew they were good for war.Nyxar was power hungry and wanted to be in total control, even to the extent of m

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   So I'm her?

ELARA'S POVI was still annoyed at how Beros had suddenly left my room after he had almost revealed something seemingly important again.Well, I hoped he was asking to see me this morning to tell me what he wanted to tell me.As I walked down the stairs, I thought about what it would be like to see him after last night. He had suddenly muttered an excuse and ran off without saying anything, I hoped things wouldn't be weird this morning.I genuinely couldn't sleep last night because of the thought of what new secret he wanted to reveal to me.Noticing I had reached the edge of the stairs, I walked over to the dining room to meet just Beros at the dining table, not nothing to ask where Damian was, I pulled out a chair and sat just directly opposite Beros."So..""I'm"We began to speak at the same time and stopped at the same time too, paused, looked at each other and then we both let out a laugh. His laugh was so hearty, mine so giggly. It was the best laugh I had had in a while and it

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   The next step

THIRD PERSON POV.Beros paced around the garden by the fountain as he waited for her to appear, he had sent a message to her telling her he needed to inform her of the recent events. After all, she was the only other person interested in helping Elara regain her powers fully, the other deities were more or less interested in their own survival and preferred to stay out of things.Beros thought it was a stupid decision, because their decision to stay out of things the last time and only help at the last minute had led to irreversible consequences. He heard footsteps behind him, snapping him out of his brooding and turned to see the deity Raina, walking towards him, a solemn look on her face."What happened?" She asked, not bothering for pleasantries the moment she walked up to him.He handed the note to her without a word. She read it and her eyes widened in surprise."He knows?" She asked, giving the note back to Beros."It seems so" he paused , while letting out a deep breath. She p

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   Drawn to the moon

ELARA'S POVThe words burned in my head and whenever I closed my eyes, I could see the words form together on the piece of paper."We know you are back"Who could it be? I sat on my bed, staring at my hands as they shivered, like they belonged to someone else. My head throbbed. Could it be Alpha Kane? Maybe he had found me.My body shivered even more now as I recalled my experience at the pack. That was the last place I wanted to be, I would never allow myself to go back to that suffering. And if it wasn't Alpha Kane, that just meant I had a bigger enemy, one that even Beros was hesitant to talk about. It seemed like all my life I had been running and now that I had finally found a place to stay, I had to be up on my feet.I felt unsafe, cold.It felt like something was watching me, like something always was.Who knew what waited for me outside the castle walls? I couldn't stay cooped up in here all my life? I had to fight, to become stronger, the weight of my thoughts made me shiver

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   The hidden watcher

ELARA'S POVMy heart beat wildly against my chest at the realization that someone else was here with me. Goosebumps prickled my skin, a bad sign.I didn't feel safe, whoever it was was hiding and didn't want to come out. Suddenly, the footsteps stopped and the library was dead silent, not a sound could be heard aside from the sound of my heart beating."Who's there?" I asked, willing myself to ask aloud. The silence of the books was all I got in reply.Whoever it was decided not to reply to me, Or was it my mind playing tricks on me?I stayed rooted to my spot, I couldn't move, because I knew whoever this person was hid under the guise of my footsteps and would continue moving if I dared to take another step. After a few minutes of waiting, I decided to walk. After all, I knew I couldn't stay rooted to this spot forever. So I took a deep breath, calmed my nerves and took one tentative step forward. My feet hovered over the ground for a while before I gently dropped it, barely making a

  • REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON   The missing pages

ELARA'S POVFrustrated with all the questions and confusion, I turned back to my book to find some sort of solace, if any. It was better than thinking, all I had to do was focus on reading and take my mind off these questions. My eyes scanned the page and landed on where I stopped. My heard made a thump sound, staring back at me in bold lettering was the name of the very person whose visions I kept having."Elariana, the goddess of the moon and the night creatures"Hmm, such a strange title for a deity, till now, I was able to identify the other deities by their titles but this was different. It was hard for me to understand what kind of deity she was. The goddess of the moon? Was she the literal goddess?Uhhh, I found my thoughts drifting again. I quickly snapped back to reality, I had been thinking too much these days."Elara was the deity in control of the night creatures and she was imbued with more power from the moon than the other deities thus making her stronger than the rest"
