The office was quiet.

I sat behind my desk, looking at my computer screen. At the numbers, charts and plans for the next quarter.

But my mind was not on work.

I kept thinking about the meeting. About Kael. About the way he had looked at me. The way he said my name.

I shook my head and forced my mind to focus.

Then someone knock at the door.

“Come in.”

Zara walked in with a nervous look in her eyes. “Miss Ivy, there is someone outside. He wants to see you.”
