I stumbled backward, witnessing Alex's tentative attempt to advance, yet I urgently signalled him to halt through expressive arm movements.

Fear gripped him, his eyes reflecting concern as I propelled myself towards Bruno.

Bruno, the source of my anguish, met my gaze, and an overwhelming desire surged within me to erase the smugness etched on his cheek.

"Ugh!" I exclaimed, my eyes ablaze with fury as my fist connected with him. With every forceful blow, memories of the difficult past shared with Aurora played vividly in my mind.

Recollections flooded in; moments of shared tears, the harrowing incident of Aurora being abducted by her own sister. Each strike I delivered carried the weight of that history.
