The Man From My Dreams?
Aurora's POV
"If you marry Mr. Dark, I promise not to reveal to your dad that you were already pregnant before you left the house!" she proclaimed, her voice filled with evident satisfaction.
"And it's just a one-year agreement. All you need to do is give him a child!" she added, a hint of disappointment in her tone.
"What? Marriage? To someone I hardly know?!" I exclaimed angrily, my face reflecting confusion and disapproval.
I swiftly rose to my feet, no longer willing to be at her mercy.
"You know what, Mary? I'd rather face my father's wrath than marry a heartless monster who doesn't care about a woman's emotions!"
I spun around, intending to rush to my room, but she halted me in my tracks.
"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you, Aurora, and that's why your child will never know peace until its dying breath!" she threatened, using my child as a pawn in her twisted game.
"Leave my child out of this, Mary!" I warned, my voice filled with intense fear.
"Then don't break your promise, Aurora, especially now that I'm showing you kindness!" she uttered, forcing me to face her menacing gaze.
My fist clenched tightly on the railing I held onto, wishing it were her neck instead.
Reluctantly, I considered the situation. The thought of my child's potential well-being and the absence of a father figure began to weigh heavily on my mind. Perhaps, despite the circumstances, this could be an opportunity to provide my child with a home.
"Trust me, Aurora, you won't regret this so much!" she sneered, trying to persuade me to see things from her perspective.
However, I couldn't easily place my trust in her.
"What if I end up in trouble, Mary? What about the safety of my child?" I questioned, my voice trembling with uncertainty.
"Then you'll have to deal with it on your own, since you're all grown up now, right?" she scoffed, closing the distance between us with three confident steps.
This was never the path I envisioned, but a part of me sensed that it might be the only choice I had to survive and protect my child.
I turned to face her directly, my hands tightly gripping the strap of my brown bag as I glared back at her.
At least, this would be the last time I would have to see her.
"When do I have to leave?" I inquired, my voice filled with anger and disdain.
Before Mary could respond, a commanding yet feminine voice rang out from behind, causing me to swiftly turn and face its source.
"You are leaving right now, Aurora Dark!"
As I laid my eyes upon the fair lady before me, I stood frozen in silence. It was the same woman who had uttered those words to me earlier.
She was the one who had intervened when that rude man was about to tear me apart.
"It's good to see you again, but we must leave before sunset!" she insisted, and with some hesitation, I approached her.
She greeted me with a smile, something unexpected and refreshing. It was rare for a betrothed servant or Whatever she was, to smile at her contracted bride.
However, a thought crossed my mind.
"Where is he?" I asked, looking directly into her eyes.
"You will meet him soon, Aurora. All you have to do is trust us and walk with us!" She gently tapped my shoulder, offering me a glimmer of encouragement.
Without hesitation, she turned and swiftly exited the house. I followed suit, determined to face whatever lay ahead.
As I walked towards the awaiting convoy, a thousand thoughts raced through my mind, particularly about what my father would think of me once he returned home.
Would he be happy or would he remain burdened with sadness, still believing that I had somehow caused harm to my sister?
With each step I took, my heart pounded faster within my chest. I hoped and prayed that this decision I had made would bring about positive changes in my life.
This was a fresh beginning, and holding onto the hope that it would bring a sense of fulfilment wasn't a bad idea at all.
I couldn't quite comprehend how we had arrived at the enormous mansion before me, and an unsettling feeling crept over me.
It seemed as though I was stepping into a place tainted by dark forces.
"Step out of the car, Aurora!" the woman commanded, snapping me out of my thoughts. Without hesitation, I complied.
"I... I'm sorry for..." I began to apologise, but she cut me off abruptly.
"No more apologies, Aurora!" She approached me, her voice now filled with a deep, harsh tone.
It reminded me of how she had smiled warmly at me back at the house.
"Was she just pretending earlier?" I questioned in my mind, my eyes still locked on her as she spoke.
"The Alpha doesn't appreciate a clumsy bride, Aurora, so I advise you to be cautious if you want to keep your head attached to your body!" Her warning heightened the complexity of the situation, overwhelming me further.
"And let me make this clear, you won't leave this place alive!" She declared before turning away, leaving me stranded and alone.
"Get her! The Alpha is eager to meet her!" She commanded, and in an instant, I was seized like a criminal and brought into the imposing mansion.
Confusion overwhelmed me as I found myself on the floor, my knees hitting the cold mansion floor. Before me stood an enormous chair, seemingly reserved for someone of high status.
"What is all this?" I muttered to myself, surveying the room I had been brought into.
"Is this for the Alpha?" I whispered, a chilling realisation dawning on me. If Alphas were supposed to be werewolves, then...
My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a deep, menacing growl that reverberated through the room, sending shivers down my spine.
"Mate?" he murmured, his expression devoid of any happiness.
At that moment, everything became even more confusing and complicated.
This wasn't the first time I had encountered a menacing man like this. It wasn't the first time I had seen him standing before me.
"He's the man from my dreams?!" I gasped, overcome with intense terror as our eyes locked, creating a chilling connection.
To even make it worse, he was the man from the dreadful scene after Nelson had betrayed me.
"What is happening here?"
I REJECT YOU AS MY MATE!Lucious POV."Why aren't you in your room?!" She asked angrily, her voice filled with intense anger that shook me to my core for a brief moment."I won't move an inch as long as she's there, Claire! Get her out of here, right now," I stated firmly, my eyes expressing my disgust."You have to go to her immediately, Alpha Lucious!" She shouted, her voice sending chills down my back.I scoffed at this point, realising that she knew my preferences very well, so why was she forcing me into this situation?"You know how much I hate humans, Claire, and yet you brought her into my room?!" I shouted as soon as I saw Claire burst into my room.I was beyond angry because now I not only had to deal with a human in my room every day, but I was also expected to have her as my partner."I don't want her here, Claire! Take her back where she came from!" I said firmly, turning away from her and walking towards the window.I couldn't believe that Claire had brought a complete s
Aurora's POV.His presence loomed over me, his piercing, green eyes fixated on my trembling form. As he drew nearer, the air thickened with tension, suffocating me. His finger, cold and accusatory, extended towards my jawline, forcefully tilting my face to meet his gaze.At that haunting moment, his words thundered through the air, cutting through my heart like a jagged blade. "I, ALPHA LUCIOUS DARK, REJECT YOU AS MY MATE! YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A WEAK HUMAN, AND THAT'S NOT THE KIND OF LUNA I WANT FOR MY PACK!"The weight of his declaration crashed upon me, engulfing my entire being in a torrent of fear. Anger and fury seeped into his voice, making it quiver with an almost scary intensity. Initially, it seemed like a mere statement, an act of dismissal, but then the true impact of his rejection struck me with the force of a lightning bolt.A searing, agonising pain erupted within me, tearing through every fibre of my being. The mere intensity of this feeling stole my breath away, le
Aurora's POV.I knelt on the ground, my mind in a whirlwind, struggling to understand what had just happened. With each word he spoke, my heart raced uncontrollably. His deep voice, as always, echoed in my mind, pulling me towards him and clouding my thoughts."Was I under some kind of spell? I never felt anything for him before now… so what changed?" I whispered to myself, but then she appeared again, responding to my thoughts."You are his Mate, Aurora... You might be just a human, but you're the Alpha's Mate!" she exclaimed, entering my room. Instantly, fear ran through me, causing my body to tremble."I... I'm sorry if..." I stammered, attempting to stand but stumbling back to the ground. She rushed towards me, grabbing hold of me tightly. The closeness made me realise that she had somehow read my thoughts."Are you alright? You've been saying strange things in your head!" She chuckled softly, her grip on my shoulders growing stronger."Can you read minds?" I blurted out, staring
Aurora's POV."Get down on your fours!" his voice boomed, resonating with a commanding authority that pierced through my very being. The mere sound of it compelled me to submit, to surrender my will to his every word. There was an inexplicable power in his voice that left me no choice but to comply with his demands. It bound me, wrapping around my thoughts and emotions like an unbreakable chain. I was trapped, unable to resist his influence. As I knelt down on the frigid, unyielding floor, a mixture of fear and guilt coursed through my veins, gripping me tightly. The intensity of these emotions was overwhelming, causing my body to quiver uncontrollably. The weight of what I had gotten myself into pressed down on me, suffocating me with its consequences. In that fleeting moment, I couldn't help but regret my decision to meet him. I questioned why I hadn't simply obeyed Claire's advice, but deep down, I knew it would have been futile. My child would be left without a father, and my
Luscious' POV."Why is she taking so long?" I muttered quietly, feeling an intense urge and excitement growing with each passing moment as I anxiously waited for Aurora. If she was truly meant to be with me and help me break the curse that had been placed upon me, as Claire had mentioned, then I firmly held onto the belief that she would never abandon me under any circumstances.I had encountered many women in the past, most of them were looking for a sane Alpha partner, while others were too afraid to approach me.But Aurora had been different. She had stayed by my side and willingly agreed to be my Slave Mate, my submissive. I couldn't bear the thought of letting her slip away.Suddenly, I stood up, still eagerly anticipating her arrival, continuously glancing at my watch with each passing second.Feeling restless in my room, I grew impatient waiting for her to arrive. "I warned her!" I thought to myself as I quickly paced towards the door.Initially, I planned to open the door forc
MINE! (Get Her Out, Now!)Lucious' POV."Aarrrggghh!" I cried out, holding my head as the intense pain spread throughout my entire body.I desperately prayed for the pain to stop, but it only got worse, much worse than I expected."Alpha? Lucious, are you okay? Mrs. Claire!" Aurora called out when she approached me.Strangely, instead of feeling better in her presence, the pain intensified. I couldn't handle it, and I didn't understand why."Shit! Make it stop!" I shouted, trying to pull my hair out, but I couldn't manage to do it.My wolf instincts were taking over, and I couldn't control it, no matter how much I tried. Aurora's touch and concerned voice only made me more furious and enraged.I fell to my knees, desperately praying for the pain to subside. But then, something even worse happened. For a moment, I felt completely empty, and the pain lessened slightly, but the second my eyes turned red, I knew what that meant; I had lost control. My wolf had taken over, and the only per
Never Let Me Go…Lucious' POV."Get her out of here, Claire, and do it now!" I ordered, and though she initially refused, I forced her to comply. She quickly ran out of the room, realising that I was on the verge of losing control once again. I couldn't bear the thought of hurting anyone, especially not my own family. As soon as she was gone, I collapsed to my knees, my hands clenching onto the ground with such force that it created an irritating sound, causing me to growl furiously. If only there was a way to instantly break the curse that had been placed on me. I would do anything to be free of this torment. But as it stood, I was only getting worse, unable to control the wolf within me like I used to.The curse seemed to be growing more intense with each passing day, and I felt utterly helpless. There was no one who could save me from this fate, not even myself.Gasping for breath, I opened my eyes, and the sound of my claws scraping against the floor ceased. With my chest heavin
We Must Help Him!Aurora's POV."Let's leave this place!" Claire commanded as she hurriedly exited the room and locked the door behind her.I was still in shock, my eyes wide with fear, and my whole body trembling from the intense fright of the recent events. For a moment, I couldn't help but imagine that I was somehow responsible for his pain and anger. He had seemed perfectly fine until I mentioned that I was a virgin.Internally, I worried about what I had done to him and if he would be okay after this ordeal. Tears welled up in my eyes as I observed Claire standing in front of me.I was so scared that my lips kept on trembling, and honestly, what I witnessed when he got up from the ground and attempted to attack me was something I couldn't even put into words. The scene replayed in my mind, and I fervently prayed never to have to go through anything like that again."Aurora!" Claire's voice called out my name, snapping me back to the present moment."Come with me! And remember, yo
