KYLIE'S POV

“What are you doing man, let her go” Freddy yelled. And freed me from the choking grasp of the raged Alpha Arnold.

I began to cough uncontrollably. Freddy immediately poured me a glass of water from the jar standing on the little dining table

I didn't hesitate to take it and gulp down the whole content of the glass. I was panting and trying to catch my breath

“What was that for?“ I asked when I finally caught my breath

“You bitch! How dare you?“

“You've been saying that since you got here, I don't even know what you're mad about?“ I was getting more and more confused by the seconds

“You bewitched me” okay, where was this accusation coming from?

“What! — I exclaimed— bewitched you? How? Why would I even do that?“ I asked

“Probably because you needed a back up, in case I didn't accept to help you get back the child that isn't even mine in the first place” He yelled

“What are you on about?“ At this point, I was lost

“Don't play dumb with me. I always knew you were smart and sly, but I didn't think you would try it on me. But let me tell you, you made a wrong decision, a very bad one” He said coldly, and I could only stare in astonishment

“Hey, hey, hey, Can someone at least tell me what's going on? I'm kind of lost in all these.. drama” Freddy spoke, only then did Arnold turn to his direction. He seemed to just notice that someone was there

“Who are you?“ Arnold asked

“I am Fredrick, and this is my house. Who let you in here in the first place?“ Freddy asked irritatedly

Arnold gave him a once over and then turned back to me

“So…this is all you could get? You left me for him? You're unbelievable Kylie” What the hell! He sounded…what word am I looking for? Um…Jealous? Freddy heard him, but didn't seem to care or perhaps he was too busy putting the pieces together to dignify that with a response or reaction

“Huh! I am very confused. You walked in here, trying to kill me, then you began to rant about me bewitching you, and the next thing you're jealous? I am trying to figure out what the meaning of all these is, and the more I try, the more Insane it gets” I responded, running my fingers through my hair

“Our mate bond, when you left I didn't feel it anymore. You broke the bond between us, and you did it without my consent — he was heartbroken, I could feel it— and…” I didn't let him finish

“I didn't break our bond,” I said. He didn't look like he believed me, now did he look like he didn't. He looked confused, as though he was struggling with what to choose

“Then how come I didn't feel anything, you even had a child. How come I didn't know. I mean I'm supposed to feel it when you have sex with someone else, but I didn't. But all of a sudden, you come back, and the bond is there again, it comes back. What other explanation is there if not for the fact that what I feel is fake. That it's all the doings of a spell” he explained and I lowered my head

“I didn't bewitch you into feeling our bond again. You might be right, a spell was involved, but it wasn't now, the spell was casted long ago” I explained

“It was two days after I ran away, I had asked a witch to cast a spell, that would block us from feeling the bond forever, but she said the spell would wear out any day we see each other again” I explained, he believed me at once

“That makes more sense” he muttered to himself and nodded, as though he was having a conversation within himself

“So, you were unalived and then realived?“ He asked, what a way to put it. I nodded. He stared at me for a while as though he wanted to say more, but had a change of heart

“You believe me now?“ I still had to make sure he did

“I do. I believe you” he responded and I smiled

“Is there anything else you might want to say?“ I probed.

“No” his response came sharp and curt

“Really? Are you sure about that?“ I probed further, blinking innocently

“No” he said again and made for the door. He was still as cold as I knew him, or even colder

“This doesn't make any sense” came from Freddy. All the while, he had looked puzzled and confused but I was too focused on getting Arnold to believe that I hadn't bewitched him, to notice

Arnold came to a halt and I turned towards him (Freddy)

“What doesn't make sense?“ I asked

Before he could respond, a lady walked in

She glanced at everyone in the room, then let her gaze rest on me.

“Hello, I'm Sasha, it's nice meeting you in person” she Introduced herself and realization struck me

“Oh my goodness! Sasha… Um..Sasha the sorceress?“ I needed to be sure, this was the human society after all, I couldn't afford to make a mistake

“The one and only” she responded and I smiled ear to ear

“Wow! I am Kylie, and I am very pleased to meet you” I responded excitedly

“You over hyped her, She doesn't sound as sassy as you had described” she whispered to Freddy

“I heard that” I responded

“Oh my! I am so shocked” she said sarcastically. Okay, I think I like her a lot already

“I heard, I am very grateful. Thank you so much” I said and she smiled faintly

“Don't mention, everyone deserves a second chance and we also need you, in order to make that bastard pay for his wrong doings” she responded and I paled. Yeah, I knew just who that bastard was. The bastard who held my son captive

“It's okay, we'll succeed” she reassured and I nodded

“Oh! Who's this hottie? Fred, is this a friend of yours?“ She asked, giving Arnold a flirty once over

“No” The rate at which that response came fast, one would think Arnold had something against Freddy

“Oh!…okay” Sasha responded confusedly

"If you aren't a friend to Freddy, then why are you here? How did you get here? I remember placing a cloaking spell on our location" Sasha asked. And yeah now that she mentioned, I'm interested in knowing too

"You should practice the spell more often" He responded

"What do you mean? Are you trying to say that I'm not good at it? Just so you know, I am a very great sorceress, and no one can break my spells except me" She informed proudly

"Well then, maybe I know someone greater whom you don't know about" Arnold responded nonchalantly

"That's impossible…" she couldn't complete her statement as Freddy interrupted

“This doesn't make any sense,” Freddy said again. I was beginning to get worried

“Freddy, are you alright? What doesn't make any sense?“ I asked

“These — he gestured at Arnold and I — Why would the moon goddess give me a mate that is already mated to someone else?“ He continued

“Huh?“ The rest of us all said in unison

“I don't follow”

“You're my mate Kylie. You're my Fucking mate” Oh great heavens!
