Chapter 56. The Kidnapping

YVONNE'S POV.

I groaned as my eyes slowly opened. The bright light immediately greeted my gaze, making it difficult for her to adjust to the room.

For a few seconds, I tried to adjust my vision to the light in the room. I began to faintly hear voices talking around me.

"Ah, did we catch the right person? I don't know if he'll be of any use to us or not."

As my eyes began to see more clearly, she was startled to see several men. There were three men sitting a few meters in front of me, talking, while the others were busy moving around.

I furrowed my brow. As I looked around, I realized that the room resembled a storage warehouse.

Long pieces of wood were being carried back and forth, the smell of carved wood was pungent, and the sound of a wood-cutting tool echoed loudly.

"Hey, she's awake!" One of the three men chatting pointed at me.
