CHAPTER 53
Nothing but utter silence, silence so loud it tore through my whole body. My arms were wrapped around my body, feeling so weak with my legs crossed on the floor yet my eyes never tearing from the window. Everything was so still, not a single soul heard outside with the only thing at sight being the smoke rising to the sky. My heart drummed, so afraid and heartbroken.
