The first two weeks of the new term with new management were phenomenally superb. The students were intensely bombarded with classes upon classes; assignments upon assignments, to the point that football activities ceased to only Sundays and Saturdays. The ss3 students have been minding their studies with less showcasing of power in terms of drilling and maltreatment. The immediate impacts of the new management and revamped functionaries were visible. Yet there were still some illegal activities that were still present in the seminary. One night, the principal called for all the ss3 students after a secret report got to him that a huge champions league match was going on between Real Madrid and Chelsea. “Hey, go to hostel C2 and call the senior perfect for me”. The convent games started on Monday, with all the schools arriving on Sunday. Each school was given a hostel, some hostels were on the host school premises while some schools were taken to the church Conference hostels. A total of 21 schools were present. The football along with other games was going on simultaneously. The Annunciation convent topped the medal table with 15 gold medals and 5 silver in addition to the 6 bronze they won on the first day. On the Wednesday evening of the week, the semi-final matches were played, in the first semi-final game, the Annunciation convent won the St Anthony memorial girls while in the second semi-final game, the Morning Stars convent defeated the All saints convent too. Around 6 pm that Wednesday, all outdoor games were stopped for the indoor games. Meanwhile, the next day Thursday usually is the day the seminary schools always come to the games to perform and compete in debate, track events, and quizzes. The girls were excited to the point of

“Yesterday was a great day, we have already 5 gold medals and two bronze medals; you guys did exceptionally well”. The sports master applauded the team very early Friday morning. “I never expected such an outstanding outing, am still startled by the performances, I must ensure the full reward gets to all”. “Our darling supporters, you all are superb, we showed them pepper; those sounds were sounds of victory, almost the whole students now want to be our student”. All of them snickered. For a few minutes, some of them were using slang that signifies joy and excitement. “We will put in more; you all know we need to win more; it will go a long way to put more fear in the hearts of the opponent more importantly as the main game of seminary schools approaches”. The students were to return to school on Saturday the day after the return of the champions from the inter-convent games. However, before the return of the boys to the school, the sports master had already put a call across to the principal on the importance of having a delicious dinner with the 30-man squad. The principal didn't think it twice as he did the needful. He agreed on a two-day dinner. Two goats were slaughtered for the reception of the champions. The boys returned to the empty school environment with songs of victory, hitting sounds and drums with their band sets and any available container. The community men and women were very happy to see the trophies being displayed from the side glasses of the bus. From the sound of victory, they were convinced that this one must have ended extraordinarily. Early Saturday morning, the functionaries who were not partakers of the just concluded convent games returned to school. They had a brief meeting with the principal as usual and received the marching orders for the remaining weeks of the term. “This is the last phase; within three weeks, none of you will remain in any functional office”. The principal began his speech.“I strongly demand the best as you have always been giving, I demand the very best; knowing fully that the end of every life activity justifies the beginning”. “You all were chosen because we saw some qualities needed for a better state of the citadel and these last week's, we also demand to see the very best”. He continued.“By the next two weeks, the board will be expecting your suggestions of students in senior secondary school who you think will succeed you in your offices; this is very important for us as we continue in the transformation of this seminary”. “We have just five days to summarize our plan, we have gotten the contributions from all the interested guys, but we need one more guy to complete the transport money”. Terry said to the guys after a class test. “I have been observing some changes in Shops these days, in as much as he still thinks about Victoria, I have also noticed that he is always happy while on-call these days; am I the only one suspecting something?“. Edam said to the boys.“I noticed the same too; I overheard him calling someone's baby girl on the phone and these days his calls are longer than they used to be those past weeks”. A boy responded.“Am suggesting we give him a try again, Edam you will do the work for us, inform him that we are not just going there once and for all, we are hoping to build a unified brotherhood here and it will go a long way to help us all”. “Tomorrow we will embark on the journey, is there anyone still not sure of his availability; anyone not fully convinced of going this lane with us?“. Terry asked the boys on the night before the journey. “Everybody is going, we are all set”. Edam quickly replied to ensure none reconsiders. “Okay, guys, so this is our plan now”. Terry said, opening a drawn map. “We are moving through the bag gate, once it is noon, none should come out with any of the uniforms, we must at least put on neutral trousers and a polo, that's the least”. “So, after we leave the school compound, the bus will be at the junction, we will be entering the bus two by two so that the villagers won't ever think we are students but normal passengers; if you have a face cap please put it on”. “All must be smart to avoid any casualty; if you are caught, you are on your own and must not call nor mention any name of another culprit”. The boys after the morning prayers were already washing up. The junior boys and the senior boys were involved in all manner of clean-ups. The functionaries were fully involved knowing fully it was one of their last assignments. However, Shola and his men were already on the move to go for the visiting day of the convent girls. Their plan remains at 1 pm to make the move. They were also involved in the cleaning up and it was Shola who took the junior students to the principal's house for proper cleaning of the house and environment. The principal was excited to behold his dedication and leadership. On the other hand, Terry also took some boys to the chaplain quarter for clean-up too. After the clean-up, a football match between the junior best time and ss1 boys was held. All the boys were all out to witness the biggest march before the seminary games.
